On 12/29/23, my visit to Living Kitchen was marred by a series of troubling incidents. At 7:57 pm AND 8:01 pm, "Jay,” which we later found out was a fake name given by the woman we spoke to, hung up on us while we sought clarification on allergen details for our order. We politely asked for allergen details - as my pregnant wife has severe allergies - to which “Jay” proceeded to dismissively and rudely brush us off, ignore us, and hang up on us (we politely called back a second time because we thought we got disconnected, but were hung up on AGAIN). When we called back a THIRD time, someone else picked up and took our order. As patrons, we have never been treated so poorly in our entire lives - and cannot help but think this was race related, as we have never been so blatantly ignored and dismissed. To exacerbate matters, when we arrived at 8:45 pm, 15 minutes before the supposed closing time, the restaurant was closed. The “manager,” who met us at the locked door, showed zero empathy or care when we explained the unsettling experience. It seems that everyone was ready to clock out early and leave. The racism, and lack of professionalism, paint a concerning picture of Living Kitchen. It's disheartening to report such an experience, as we use to love coming here. Spend your money elsewhere.

I'm not vegan, but our kid is pescatarian. The service was a bit slow in that our waiter didn't make it over to take our order until several minutes in. We would have liked to put in a drink order while perusing the menu, but never got the chance. The food, however, was delicious. I got the carrot hummus salad with a "burger" on top. The kale was seasoned perfectly, just a splash of flavor. The actual carrot hummus was really tasty as well, I'd never had such hummus before. The "burger" part was pretty good, with a strong flavor of cumin over anything else. I prefer "Impossible" burgers to these, but this was still yummy. The rest of the family got nachos, a burger, a waffle, masala, and lentil soup. Everyone raved about their choices, although most said the waffle was too dense. The general consensus was that the masala was the winner, although I don't share my food with anyone and I don't try anyone else's. I got my salad, loved my salad, and ate my salad while the 4 others at our table shared food and tastes like normal civilized humans.

Absolutely delicious vegan food! So thankful for restaurants like this popping up in America. We had the waffles and coffee and it was so so good. Quality food and great service. Highly recommend!

We were visiting family in Charlotte, NC, and fortunately my husband found Luna’s Living Kitchen. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and was delighted to find I could have just about everything on the menu. We were happy to be seated with no wait. Our server was very knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. Ended up ordering food to take home with us. Highly recommended.

My experience here was AMAZING! I am not vegan, but I do enjoy a healthy lifestyle and I appreciate that everything is 100% organic. My order was “Carnita” Tacos (instead of tortilla substitute for collard wrap) and a Ceasar Kale Salad as the side (with an additional side of guacamole). Everything was delicious! I actually didn’t use the ceasar dressing for the salad much because it was very flavorful alone. I also got the Ultimate Warrior smoothie, which was great - not sweet, but definitely hearty. My waiter was also kind and informative. My overall experience was a 10/10! I just wish they had extended hours during the week.

Obsessed with this place. I love that there are so many vegan options here. We came for breakfast and they have some new items. Definitely get the waffle! It was incredible!

Excellent food and service! I highly recommend the Harvest Salad since I've had it twice now. The smoothies and the seasonal squash soup are also delicious. And the fresh flowers on the tables are a bonus. My friends and I plan to return and continue exploring the menu.

Golden tumeric drink is delicious! I love their tumeric drinks. They have plenty of alternatives for non-dairy milks and other plant based foods. Fabulous grilled cheese sandwich and sweet potato hash side dish. They use a good mix of flavors too. They have really great atmosphere and I like the art & the restaurant design. Good service too!

I went there for breakfast yesterday. The food was tasty & service was excellent! Prices were a little high for the portion sizes. I'd recommend the chia seed pudding. One thing to note is that they don't have a breakfast menu posted online so it was a little confusing if they were open for breakfast despite the hours posted on their website. But they are open, they just offer a shorter list of items from their main menu. Service was good, our server was attentive and friendly. I could tell it was a popular place, as we were leaving around 9:30 a.m. several more patrons were coming in.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant upon arrival. The atmosphere was certainly a great vibe with live music and quaint table settings. We were greeted more than once by the staff. Our server was knowledgeable and informative. The food was delicious and the desert didn’t disappoint. This vegetarian organic restaurant is a must try.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly atmosphere. There were several children in the restaurant when we were there.

This place is so cute, I love the building and the whole atmosphere! My friend and I came here on the way out of Charlotte and had lunch. I eat mostly plant based and she is gluten free so we wanted to find somewhere we could both go!She had the crab cake which she said was delicious. I had the pimento cheeseburger which was good (it was a little bit dry since the bun was pretty thick and there wasn't necessarily a "condiment" like mayo or something since the pimento cheese was the condiment, but the burger was really great!) Honestly though, the show stopper for me was the Kale Ceasar that I had as my side. It was one of the best vegan caesars I've had. So garlicky and the little toppings they put on it are delicious. I highly recommend trying this place.Dietary restrictions: The whole place is vegan. Some raw options and GF options!

I am not vegan but I will definitely make this place a regular of mine! This is the BEST vegan restaurant I've ever been to and it's for real vegan! Not the artificial stuff it's the real deal and the flavor profile!!! Is so bomb! Not to mention the aesthetic is so artsy, cozy, and cute! I had the steak tacos and pear jalapeño coleslaw! The coleslaw was spicy with a hint of sweetness I will say if you're not a fan of spice this may not be for you but after I got used to the spice I loved it lol! The tacos were AMAZING the mushrooms tasted just like a tender steak and were flavorful! It also has quinoa in it, which I used to not be a fan of because of bad experiences of it being tough and extremely grainy, but their quinoa was cooked to PERFECTION! My friend had the quesadilla she said it was a bit more spicy than she remembered but it was still good.It was pretty slow when we came and the service was still pretty mid but their food definitely makes up for it!

I don’t dine out much anymore because I don’t love the ambiguity. I like to know exactly what I’m eating. Living Kitchen is amazing because they’re using REAL food/ingredients and the menu maps out exactly what is in the dish. I got the Living Burrito and Sweet Potato mash. Both were delicious. I absolutely will be back.
