Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken

Beware! Roaches. After my statement, I am sure they will remember me coming in. With the food, I will give the benefit of the doubt because it was about a hour before closing. It took me a second to choose what I wanted but as I looked around I noticed hand written sign saying no refund. Told people don't like something and want to change it. Not sure about that one. What I have seen about what the reviews say, I do feel there may have been a certain vibe from the woman working there but... my biggest concern is what happened after I paid for my food. Right after I paid and my card went through, my young one needed to used the restroom. I was given a key and when entering the restroom and turning on the light, I see roaches. My young one no longer wanted to used the restroom. Of course me for working at restaurants in the past, I know about cleaning them. I question the cleanest, when I came in the building. One thing I know about roaches is, if they are in the restroom, they must be in the kitchen. Especially with the design of the store. I said something and I was told it was the trash can for why they were in there. I gave a suggestion and had no problem asking if they were in the kitchen. You know what the answer was. I feel, there is no way the restroom has them and not the kitchen. I do not want to imagine what happens when they leave and the lights are off. What do they see when they come in every morning?

Once I went home, I almost didn't want to eat the food, thinking that the place was not clean, the fish I had was salty and was extremely greasy. I pressed a napkin to it and the grease was soaking it. I didn't eat the rest of it and my young one's fries were greasy as well. I don't like to eat out often but when I do, I hate to spend money on something I could have cooked better with the skills I have. I will not be going back to this place.

I love this place mostly for the fish nuggets, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and the red beans and rice. The chicken is well seasoned and not overcooked. The fish nuggets are fried perfectly and not greasy with just a kick of spice. The red beans and rice are good but not like the home grown Louisiana style but still good because it has flavor and a little kick to it as well. The dirty rice I am not a fan of because it lacks flavor and that true cajun essence. It's missing a bunch of ingredients. I can truly say if you order the fried chicken, you will fall in love, if not, you clearly have a palate issue. The picture is of the fried wings and legs I ordered.

The food is decent but that young Hispanic lady makes everything nasty. She's very rude and disrespectful. After years of compliants she's still there so that shows how much the owner cares about his customers

Way too much salt in the fish batter! Ordered 2 fish 2 chicken dirty rice with drink$12 ok a little expensive because the 2 pieces of chicken are dark meat drum/thigh which was not explained! it should have been 2 chicken strips since the fish is filet!!!! Both chicken and fish are cooked in old oil that needs to be changed as it tasted like old burnt sot! I could feel my health deteriorating from the amount of salt and old grease entering my body! The dirty rice was dryer than my hair! It Was like eating pellets of sand Zero taste!!!The restaurant itself is fast food clean and sanitary. Customer service was welcoming waited 15 minutes!! I would Not recommend this food! My first and last visit!

The cashier is very rude. I was thinking that when I came last time, she might have had a bad day and didn't want to be at work. NO aditude she has of the devil! The owner shouldn't have this type of energy as a customer service representative for the business.

Do not when I said do not order from this website. Fake price that don’t even exist. You think you paying one thing it’s higher price once you go pick your food up. The people that works there very poor English, and when asking questions they speaking Spanish. Told them that the menu on their website is what I went by, they lookin stupid. Saying that’s our old menu, so it false advertising. Could answer looking dumb

My favorite place..Great fresh food!

I telephone order based on the menu. When I went to pick up my order. The price was not as what was on the menu. I notified the guy at the register and he gets mad at me just because I'm calling him out about the false advertising on the menu. The prices on the menu are crossed out in black marker. The fish and chicken was not good, and the corn fritters were lukewarm. This place needs to do better and redo the brochure and make sure the prices are accurate.
