This place needs more recognition!!!! I am genuinely shocked how this vegan food is so good. I got a Goodie Bag offering and the chef made me a plate of mac and cheese, collard greens, and an imitation pulled pork with their OG sauce (very similar to the chipotle vinaigrette if you’ve had). EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD. More love, support and outreach needs to be put in this establishment. Staff were incredibly kind and gave me a loyalty card. Will be ordering from them again and recommending people ❤️

But if authentic, down home vegan southern comfort food in a no-frills environment is what you’re after, look no further. We had to double-check with our server that the meatloaf wasn’t mooing a few hours earlier. You won’t find meat here, but you won’t miss it. We’ll be back.

Let me start by saying, I’m not vegan. I chose this place because there was a deal on an app, but I’m glad I did. I like stepping out of my comfort zone as far as food, but honestly it didn’t really feel that different overall. Overall, I’d give this a 4/5 on my personal scale, but this is honestly some of the better vegan food I’ve had. I’d recommend it.

First time tasting authentic Vegan food and I was pleasantly surprised at how great, flavorful and tasty it all was. The meat loaf with the OF sauce was out of this world. The fried Brussels, mushrooms, and cauliflower was a hit. And the service was amazing!!

I recommend looking at the meat sorce in case you arnt chill with mushrooms but they have like 100 different options. This place is amazing, and the food is truely the best vegan food ive had since i went vegan 4 years ago.
Came up from Asheville for a day trip, my partner is vegan and I wanted to eat somewhere we could share food. Love in Action was the right spot. The food was excellent; we got the cheesesteak with fried oyster mushrooms and the meatloaf plate with mac and collards (their signature).
The fried mushrooms were perfect and the sandwich was served with the most delicious tangy, smokey sauce (it was so good, I asked for extra so I could dip my fries in it). My partner loved the meatloaf, and the mac and cheese was so creamy and melty.
We wanted to get more food but we were absolutely STUFFED. We definitely plan on coming back next time we’re in town. Big thanks to Chef Naija for making us feel so welcome and taking the time to chat with us. Also! Don’t miss out on their in-house cold pressed juices. The mango and fruit punch were both delightful.

What a lovely hidden gem! Pay attention to maps because you can miss it as you’re pulling off the main road! I can’t recommend Love in Action Cafe ENOUGH! It radiates pure love in every bite. The staff is beyond kind and caring and the food is fabulous. Thank goodness there’s a vegan place like this in town!
