Don't ask me why but we hadn't been to Luce in 20+ years. It is certainly apparent why this restaurant is still going strong! We had a delicious meal and first rate service! We will return sooner for sure!

If there were more stars we would give them! This is such a special restaurant. There are not many restaurants that are all-round excellent. This one is. Our favorite dish is the lobster frutti di mare, but there are always tempting risottos and a to die for osso bucco, plus many more. Don't wait for a special occasion- just go. The evening will become special regardless!

The halibut was perfect - done but not overcooked. I love the beans that they serve at the beginning of the meal. We had crème brûlée for dessert and it was verr creamy and smooth. Excellent service - friendly but not overbearing.

We had to catch a show an hour later and because of a wreck on the highway we were 15 minutes later for our reservation. We called and the lovely hostess was kind and pushed it back. Since we were a little short on time, they were great to get our drinks and food to us quickly. It was delicious. I sat down feeling stressed because of the traffic and being late and they were great to pick up my spirits. Thank you all!

This was our first visit to Luce. The food and service was outstanding. Very attentive. Will definitely be going back. This coming from a former New Yorker who has a high standard on rating Italian restaurants.

Great as always! I've been about a dozen times over the years and haven't had a bad meal or experience. My wife and I came here for our first date years ago and just came back to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The food is always exceptional, the service is top notch, and the atmosphere is great. If you haven't been to Luce yet, here's your not so subtle hint to check it out!

Luce is 99.7 miles from my home and absolutely worth the drive! Phenomenal food and staff!
The staff really sets the tone for a dining experience. Unfortunately my experience was negative. Party of 6 for a friend’s birthday, everything was fine at first. They were not busy at all. Maybe 4 other tables total last night. We had ordered our apps and entrees all at once to get it out faster. Food still took forever to come out, apparently we are supposed to ask for our main course we had already ordered to be brought out? Hard to do when the entire staff is no where to be found. 2 of us on the end of the table had no issues with waters being refilled but the remaining 4 at our table sat with empty glasses till they finally found a staff member walking by and stopped him for water. When the check came we were shamed by the waitress for not telling her prior that we needed separate checks. She made a huge deal about it and blamed us for not telling her sooner. In my opinion, if you have been working there for 10+ years as she stated to us, you’d think she’d have the experience to be proactive and ask us how we’d like the checks when taking our orders, or disclose no separate checks as many restaurants do. Our group was all young female professionals but she kept referring to us as “girls” and talking to us as if we were children. It is unfortunate because I really enjoyed my food. Other patrons did not get the same treatment that we did and were treated with a bit more respect than us “girls”.
My only other area of opportunity is to be more thoughtful of food allergies and restrictions. If you do not eat pork, perhaps look at the menu prior as well. My friend cannot eat pork so she had a limited selection as they cannot remove it from certain dishes. It was her birthday and they did bring out a free dessert but it appeared to contain gelatin which may have pork and she couldn’t take the risk so she did not get to enjoy.

Good Italian restaurant overall. arugula salad was fresh and plentiful. The buttera pasta dish was very nice with a flavorful sauce and minced sausage rounding out the flavor profile, along with a nice touch of herb. The dish also had an inviting presentation with good color and good overall texture. The meatballs also very nice in flavor and texture and presentation. Overall a solid Italian restaurant.

We twice made reservations to visit Luce and twice had to cancel - lo and behold, the opportunity came up late Saturday. The weather was perfect for dining outside so we did. This is a white tablecloth restaurant and is just as elegant outdoors as inside. The reason you go to Luce is the food - we had the salmon and the pasta del giorno - cacio e pepe with shrimp and oh, wow, are still talking about both dishes today. This restaurant is wonderful all around - food, atmosphere and service.

Excellente'! 4 of us dined at Luce before a show at the Blumenthal. Every entree we had was fabulous. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauces were amazing. Then to top it off was a very tasty espresso martini. Then we were within a minute of walking to the show. We will definitely be back.
