Be cautious when you call for takeout order. When you ask for 12 inch pizza they would make 20 inch pizza

I was looking for an alternative to Empire Pizza and came across Luigi's. My first lunch takeout was quite good. The pizza was enough for 2 days and the wings were fresh. I thought it was going to be my go to spot since it was closer. Boy was I wrong. A few weeks later, I tried them again this time ordering 2-slice pizza, wings and salad. The salad was fantastic. However, the wings were old, dried out and nothing like my first experience. My pizza was cold probably from having to wait nearly 30 minutes for them to complete the order. The experience was simply so unacceptable that it has scar'd me from going back anytime soon. I did order the fried ravioli and it was way too long in the fryer; maybe that explains why my order took so long--waiting for the ravioli to overcook. Having consulted for many years, restaurants need to ensure a customer return rate of at least every two weeks; given this horrible experience with a fairly newly opened eatery, I won't be returning because it suggest that my first positive experience was likely a fluke. My advice, to them, don't risk selling aged meat because it can and will result in poor customer experience or possibly a complaint to the county's health department.

The pizza was so large the box barely closed. Pizza was good but I’m still looking for a real NY slice and taste.

Pep was better than the cheese. Cheese was just a lil bland without adding red pepper/Oregano/Parmesan.

Loved the HUGE slices

Call a slice in. Tell him specifically I'm in the parking lot. Come in there's three guys standing around. I pay and go to use the restroom. I come back and proceeded to wait at the counter. Guy from the back comes to the front and puts my simple slice of cheese pizza in the oven. That's after 10 minutes of waiting!!. I asked for my money back. When I call in my order and I expected to be ready to pick up. Not start cooking after I arrive.!!!

Being from NY it is exceptionally difficult to find decent pizza living in the south. Luigi's is our go-to when we want pizza and the food is always on point. The staff are friendly and welcoming and we always have a great experience here.

This is the Best Pizza, Subs and Calzones in the southeast. I want say that I travel all over this side of the hemisphere for work and I have go out of my way to have pizza in every state and country. Luigi’s is in the top 10. The Subs are beyond amazing!! Calzones!! Top one percent!!! Charlotte does not have many good restaurants but this restaurant makes my family happy!!! Philly/ Chicago, ( believe it or not) Hondorous and Duluth Ga have amazing pizzas but Luigi’s is absolutely amazing!!!

I moved down here from DC but my family is from Brooklyn so that’s how I judge my pizza. This is the best pizza in Charlotte. Bisonte is great for Buffalo style but this is the best NY style pizza around. The subs are great too!
