Lupie's is one of those few remaining Charlotte restaurants that has stood the rest of time...lots of time. I don't know how long they've been around, but at least 40+ years as I ate there as a child. I truly enjoy the eclectic decor and the food is always great like Mom used to make it. The chili Mac and cheese, all the way with onions, jalapenos and cornbread is my go-to order every time. Nachos are stacked high. The burgers cover the basics as you would expect. Meatloaf is fantastic. The daily specials make me want to go every day. Leave room for desserts too. Go there and you'll likely see well-known Charlotte dignitaries too. In the past I've seen the mayor, Panthers players, local TV and Radio people. It's an unsung spot to grab a bite. If you know, you know. Check it out.

We love stopping at Lupie's cafe when in Charlotte! It is home made, comfort food! They have specials every day for a great price and servings are quite big. If you want southern comfort food, you will not be disappointed!
Cozy spot for lunch Wednesday special spaghetti was great meat sauce was tasty prices were awesome!! I finally was in the area and still amazes me after so many years ! Will me coming more often ❤️???

I never in my life thought I would get goo's spicy Texas chili on top of Mac and Cheese and like it... in North Carolina.. and yet here we are.
It was so good, I haven't stopped thinking about it days later.
I didn't get a picture but you can't eat a picture anyway, but you can have delicious chili on top of mac n cheese right here at Lupies. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be sure to stop by.
