All was good, nothing was spectacular. Broccoli stood out. For a BbQ and beer joint, broccoli was very good. Brisket was hit or miss among our crowd. Smoked, dryrubbes wings were also good.

I came to the shop and was not greeted at all for my presence. I sat down and wait more than 20 minutes with no acknowledgment from servers or management. I guess I will go to the sisters spot.

Wings were excellent, ribs were good. They were out of burnt ends and honey butter for the hush puppies.
The manager ended up getting us what we needed because we were missing an app/didn’t get it until entrees came out, didn’t have silverware, and didn’t get drinks until food came out/after getting his attention.
Overall, don’t need to try again.

Great BBQ. The sauce could be a little thicker but otherwise everything was really good. Flew in for work and wanted to try some local and wasnt disappointed.

This is my kind of place. Food was fantastic and portions were huge. Great selection of beers on tap. Service was super. We had a great dinner here and will be back our next time in Charlotte.

I order brisket there. Never again they over cooked it and only gave me 2 pieces for $30. Do better

$90 for some nasty looking chicken, dry burnt ends, dry sliced brisket, flavorless undercooked sweet potatoe fries. The pictures are doing the food a favor.

I used to love eating here it's been a few times I say I am not going back. I give it another chance but that's it no more, the nachos were not crunchy, tasted stale and the burnt ends tasted like everything else, same sauce on everything.

I ordered a veggie plate (collards, mac and fries), most of our sides came cold. The collards were great, Mac and cheese was cool but cheesy, old taste to the dirty rice not freshly made, greasy fries (change out/drop your oil more often). Catfish had a wet look upon breaking it open. Greasy as h e double l. So much oil when i lifted from the plate. Parchment paper was soaked! I was also told that that was normal. Not. Lol. Either cooked too fast or again change your oil. 1st and last time visiting South end. Overall it all went back except for the burn out wings and collards. I guess if you're under the influence you don't care as long as you put food down to sober up. Someone there needs to know that wasn't it. Honest review. Don't s h o o t the messenger. Train your staff.

I went to Mac's for late lunch and it seems like the food quality has gotten down. I ordered the 4 meats platter and different sides. I had the brisket, sausage, chicken and the ribs with mac and cheese, cream of corn, collards. The brisket was dry as hell and so were the ribs and the chicken. The cream of corn was not the best and the overall dinner was a let down

I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Both were delicious. In fact, that was the very best brisket I have ever eaten. It was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. They were great about accommodating my food allergies. You could tell the Mac and cheese was made from scratch. There were plenty of dipping & bbq sauces to try. The pickles are amazing as well. Chefs kiss!
When we arrived we were seated immediately, even at lunch time without a reservation. However, the service was slow and our waiter seemed a bit out-of-it and inattentive. The decor inside was of a motorcycle shop, which was unique and cool. The place was busy and obviously a popular spot. The restaurant had its own (small) parking lot. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Charlotte. It's full of Southern charm and delicious bbq.
Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating to food allergies.

Food didn't taste as I remembered...
Ordered a platter - 4 meats, 2 sides, Texas toast and wings and fries.
Fries were delicious.
Brisket was flavorless and tough.
Ribs had minimal sauce, but tasted ok.
Wings weren't cooked enough, so had to finish cooking those.
Texas Toast was left out.

Solid nothing special. The sauces are good and Mac and cheese is decent. The brisket sandwich was rather underwhelming and nachos came out cold.
The pickles are good.
