One of the best and healthiest spots to eat in Ballantyne, or all of Charlotte really. Especially considering how affordable it is. I’m always happy to support this business.

I recently tried Mahana Fresh when they were a vendor at the hospital where I work, and I ordered their shrimp bowl. Let me tell you — it was absolutely delicious! I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first because it came with Brussels sprouts, and in the past, I’ve never been a fan. But these were on a whole other level — the dressing they used tied the whole dish together perfectly. It was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. 10/10 — I’d definitely visit their physical location!

Everything on the menu is gluten free!! Some vegan options too! I love the Mac and cheese bowl and hubby had the Mahana bowl. Great prices for a good amount of food. Did I mention that everything is gluten free??

How do you forget to add one of the protein choices on a order but still check it off on the ticket attached to the bag?

I just got a to go order and every thing was ice cold. The meats cold, the mac and cheese, cold. Its completely inedible. I should have realized I was making a mistake when I arrived and there was not a single other customer. At 6:30. Truly vile, and honestly insulting to any customer who would pay for this. I tried a bite in my car and was disgusted. My food should have been piping hot after just a 30 second walk to my car. AND I arrived before it was supposed to be ready. Even more of a reason it should have still been hot.

The food itself was bland and unseasoned, the rice undercooked and the meat dry. However, worst of all, its made me extremely ill with food poisoning, including all the worst symptoms i wont describe. No way they keep any of the food temps where they need to be and the place is pretty filthy. Not only should you never go here, im thinking about contacting the health inspector that used to inspect my restaurant.

My daughter and I have enjoyed Mahana Fresh since they opened. We went for lunch on 3/22 with my Dad and I was very disappointed in the food. Everything was cold and when we asked the young lady behind the counter she told us it was supposed to be cold and pointed to a sign. I asked for a side of teriyaki for my dads chicken and the young lady behind the counter poured some for me in a container then told me she would have to charge me for it. I declined and we left shortly after. My daughter enjoyed her food, but my Dad and I thought it was cold and lacked flavor. I also don't appreciate being asked to tip for food that I have to bring to the table and then have to bus my own table. Despite that I did tip 15% before the bad experience.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but this place just seems to be going downhill. I been a customer for years now and I remember when they had bigger bowls, same price. Now the bowls are tiny even for the Big Mahana and the rice is usually not cooked, super crunchy with no flavor. The employees don’t even greet you, they just stare at you until I say something. Customer service has been really bad for a while now. I’m the type that want to see every business strive for greatness especially if it have food supporting my needs but I’ve had way too many issues with this company. I even reached out to customer support email and had someone call me because i made a online order and my card got charged but the order did not go through and customer support was absolutely no help and for this issue. I had to go to my bank to dispute charges. They didn’t make the order nor offer me a deal or anything for the screw up on their end and I had screenshots for proof. The only good unique thing about this restaurant is the sauces, other than that, u can go somewhere else cheaper with much better quality food and get what u paid for.

Ordered one of the bowls off of DoorDash and the rice was not cooked. Since it was mixed in with the food, the bowl wasn’t edible because we could not chew the uncooked rice. We also ordered a wrap and it had the uncooked rice mixed in with dried out chicken.

We usually love Mahana Fresh. We get it often from Uber Eats. However, tonight was HORRENDOUS. The sweet potatoes were raw and the rice was crunchy and completely burnt. We had to separate the sweet potatoes and cook them ourselves to be able to eat them, The chicken was old and chewy. We couldn't finish our food. The pricing is already a little steep, but the fact that we couldn't even finish it is ridiculous.

A Ballantyne staple! This place has consistently good food. It’s fresh and flavorful. Tons of drink options too including Lenny Boy Kimbucha and juices.

Location has ample parking. High top and table seating. Very clean and welcoming place.

Staff is super friendly!
