Fantastic food and amazing service
Fantastic food! The burritos were absolutely delicious
Mal Pan is a very nice Mexican restaurant that is a bit outside the Charlotte Uptown area (i.e., a ~15-20 minute drive). They have a fantastic cocktail list, as well as great appetizers and brunch menu items. We had a party of 7 and had no trouble getting a table around lunchtime, though, so the place does not get too packed. And they have both indoor and shaded outdoor seating.
Had a nice time at Mal Pan. Ordered Charro beans and rice, fresh tomatillo salsa, a spicy salsa, and a Cubana beer. Service was really great. Atmosphere was comfortable. Ordering sides was perfect for a small meal. The server brought pico to garnish the rice/beans. The spicy salsa was perfect and just spicy enough (do not order if you do not like spice). The fresh tomatillo salsa had a good flavor...salsa's are important if your just having rice and beans. The cubana was awesome. I would gladly order this meal again. Looking foward to trying the soup, tortas, and burritos.
Honestly not that great—all the adults in our group felt a little ill after eating here. Not a fan of French fries in my burrito.
Best margaritas in Charlotte, hands down. Tacos and Cali Burrito are also elite.
The food didn't have great flavor and it's expensive for not much. Brussel sprouts in the bowl. It said veggies,at mexican you think peppers and onions. Not Brussels. I'm allergic, so it on my fork and just stopped eating. Brussels are a very specific taste you would think you would call that out.
The food is excellent. They did a nice job accommodating some of our food preferences. The variety of salsas has something for everyone. We enjoy this place.

Went here for dinner, found an hour parking spot. Ordered chips with queso, it was great. Tacos were filling and flavourful, right amount of spicy. Our Mexican friend found the food to be authentic. Recommend the burritos and tortas too.

Chips, salsa, guac, and shrimp bowl were good, but the margaritas were the real standout. Flavorful, and not too sweet. Wish I got a photo! They have a decent amount of outdoor seating as well. Courteous and attentive staff.

The chilaquiles were not very good. Dry and less flavorful than expected. Service was great.

I loved the food! It was sooo delicious. I ordered the chicken taquitos as a starter. I loved it. The flavor was so good. I wish I ordered more. I also ordered the Jardín tacos which is the veggie tacos. Those were also super good. They’re really good with bringing a lot of flavor to their food. I also appreciate gluten free options, I don’t digest gluten well so this always a plus. My server was super nice and attentive!!
Vegetarian options: Corn starter. Salad. Two options of vegetarian tacos. Vegetarian sides. ( may be more but this is what I could remember )
