Food is very plain and need seasoning real bad… Oxtails don’t taste like oxtails.. You Guys Need to step the game up a little..

I’m a huge fan of Jamaican food especially the oxtails nd curry chicken so being I just moved to the area I was choosing between this place and Caribbean Hut all imma say is I should’ve chose Caribbean hut service was ok but food was 4/10

This food is authentic, amazing and reasonably priced. I will probably be known as a regular because I love the taste!! Next time I’ll take photos before eating , lol . Go get your plate😋

Curry goat was very very tender & cubed. The jerk chicken was absolutely perfect. I was so impressed that I carried out a beef Patty & yams to enjoy with the left over goat w/ rice & peas.
Yummy..I'll revisit the friendly staff again!

Went to Mama's Carribean Jerk Festival yesterday and was a bit disappointed as the rice and peas wasn't fully cooked and the jerk chicken wasn't spicy. Everthing seemed rushed. I took it home and doctored it to my liking. In the past I had food from the restaurant and it was superb which is why I went out of my way to attend this event. Hopefully next year will be better

If you like to eat shoe rubber or like chewy food, then the Oxtails would be a great choice. They were absolutely horrible, there was nothing tender, flavorful or tasteful about them. Im still chewing on them from yesterday. Not everyone can cook Oxtails and thats ok, but don’t brag and say they are some of the best in the city. You make yourself look foolish, I will say the only good thing that came from my $30 plate was the cabbage.
I will not go back to this place again.

These were the toughest oxtails I’ve ever had in my life. I spent 22$ on my plate and threw it in the trash. I couldn’t get the meat off of the bone. They were literally tougher than Michelin tires.

Ordered the jerk shrimp with rice and peas, yams, and greens as my sides this past Friday. It was my first time eating the food since my other Caribbean spot is closed at the moment and the food was complete trash. The rice and beans were very mushy and the jerk sauce had no taste and it made the rice and shrimp taste like straight cardboard. The yams were bland but the greens were pretty good. I will not order food from here again.

The oxtails were super rubbery with barely any meat on them. Very overcooked. Everything was dry down to the rice. The collards had no flavor or juice. The mac was disrespectful in taste as well. Only good thing was the soda. Will not be back.

Coming from NJ I figured this place had good reviews I would give it a try. Been searching since I moved here for authentic Jamaican food. The food was very bland, the portion is small for the price, and forget about being greeted or welcomed when you walk in ( and it was empty). The only thing on the plate that I could actually eat was the cabbage. The pic makes the food look good, but pics are deceiving! My search continues
