While I really respect the owner for everything he does for the East Charlotte community, the quality of the pan dulce just doesn't justify the high ranking. Compared to the many other local spots serving soft, fresh bread, the pastries here consistently feel stale and dry. The Conchas, in particular, lack the authentic flavor and the proper amount of sugar topping I’m used to. Since this is a Colombian bakery, it seems they excel more at what they know best,their empanadas and pandebonos are actually quite good. However, if you are looking specifically for authentic Mexican pan dulce, there are much better, fresher options nearby

We stopped from out of town because we heard about how this business goes above and beyond in the community and they did not disappoint. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, answering all of our questions. They are so kind, they even gave us a gift for our infant son.
All of the baked goods are beautiful, it was hard to narrow down which ones we wanted to try. Everything we had was incredibly delicious. I wish we lived closer.....a couple weeks later I'm still thinking about their tres leche cake.

Customer service is top notch as are all of the pastries and desserts. You can literally taste the love poured into this establishment. And the new merch is EVERYTHING!

I'll be honest, I'm very disappointed. I was recommended to this place by a friend so I took a almost 30 minute drive here after calling to make sure the cake decorator was in. There was a language barrier but that's a given and was not an issue. As they were polite. What disappointed me and irritated me is the event I am planning is very expensive, So I'd like to get everything done and paid for as soon as possible to make sure I budget correctly. I wanted to order my cake ASAP and get it out of the way. Put a deposit down etc. Whatever. Well I was told that I could not order the cake until 5 days before. (While I will admit that it is a bit early event at the end of summer ) Anyone who knows how to plan is not going to take that risk in case something goes wrong aka They don't have a chance prior to the event to order the cake. Whatever happens. The person who was taking my order while they were nice (given the language barrier) they really couldn't give me a straight answer on if they could make my cake. I'm not going to wait until 5 days before my event risk everything just to be told if I come back that you can't make my cake. And this is not a cheap cake. I'm looking on ordering base prices $350 to $600 because I want a multi-tiered cake. It's just not worth the risk and after reading some of the reviews of other customers who have gotten cake, I think I'll just go elsewhere.

I relocated from CT to NC, saw all the buzz and couldn’t wait to visit. We arrived super later in the day, after 5pm, to my surprise everything we picked out still tasted fresh. I also didn’t think much of the tiramisu, but my husband likes it so I bought him one. My 9 year old daughter (who hates coffee) was upset I didn’t get her a piece of tiramisu. Making another trip this week to please my 9 year old. 😆 Delicious!!

I came by the bakery yesterday at the spare of the moment to get cake to feed 40 people. The young girl behind the counter is incredibly beautiful I asked her her name and I think she said Delphi. I'm not sure. She is so sweet and she helped me pick out cake. The cake was incredible and let's just say within 5 minutes both cakes were gone. When I arrived at the bakery the parking was convenient and it smelled incredibly great in there as well as very clean and very well put together. I have been coming to this bakery since 1998. I was greeted with a smile and the young girl remembered me from last time when I came in. I needed help to carry the cakes because I don't walk very well on my knee replacement and the young girl helped me and brought them both outside for me with a smile. I want to thank this bakery for always having fresh great items and for being the best bakery on the east side of Charlotte. I stand with this bakery 1 million percent and am a loyal customer.

Not only was it delicious but look how beautiful 🤩 so grateful for the angel on earth that Manolo is - not just for the yummy products that he creates and sells - but for all that he does for the community, he gives so much back - more than happy to pay it forward! Manolo’s Bakery is truly a gem in Charlotte! Mickey and Manolo are absolutely amazing to work with: such kind, genuine people who care deeply about their community and customers. I love that this is a small immigrant-owned business, and I didn’t realize until recently that they are so much more than a bakery. They have an entire catering department that can make any event vision a reality. Whether you’re planning something small and simple or massive and extravagant, the team at Manolo’s will ensure everyone is well fed and happy.
