Amazingly - we were the only table on a mid afternoon weekday! The Hostess (waitress) “forgot” our initial order of grilled oysters with our 2 bowls of soup - stating “I didn’t write it down”,…. Then a while later we added the trouffle Mac & cheese to our menu - She showed up 15-20 minutes later with the bill and asked “would you like anything else?” Which I responded - “the trouffle Mac & cheese” - which she again stated “oh,…. I’m so sorry I forgot to write it down” -……. We were the ONLY table there? Oh well - I still tipped her $25 on a $62 bill feeling sorry for her ignorance!….. maybe just an off day - or she was covering “playing waitress” - Food was good, flavorful although the oysters were extremely small for the price - and only 4 served as an app for $18!

Pub-style food, rather fat, a bit overpriced for what it is. The restaurant is well situated but there are better options very close, so I would recommend it only if you have no other option.

The over aqll Service was Fantastic our Se4rver was Awesome and Nois4e Level was very Low. The Manager and Chef came to verify our Food and Service which made overall Experience even Better.

Party of 12 waited an hour from seat to food delivery... despite being one of the first (and few) guests for lunch. 1/4 of our party had to leave by the time food was tabled. Many lost appetites by the time the food came. No explanation. No apologies. No offer to comp drinks or appetizers. The food was... okay. Disappointed, as M&S had a stellar reputation. I am torn between rating 2- or 3-stars. Not likely to return

The service and drinks were phenomenal. I went with a group of 9 for a reservation and we were sat almost immediately. Our server, Ben, was very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to the entire group. The manger stopped by our tables as well. Noise level was low and the food was very good.

Kianna was a very good server. She was definitely overworked but tried hard to make our night better. The food had absolutely no flavor and over done. Kianna offered to replace our meals with something else, which was nice. We ended up getting her to bring us a lemon sauce to put over the food. That did help a lot. The butter cake was delicious.

The steaks were prepared perfectly and our server was attentive and friendly. A definite must do!

Real nice place to go for ANY special occasions and business meals when you want to do something special for the guests.\. Two of our group had birthdays on March 31 - April 1 and the staff made it special for them with a Menu wishing them a happy birthday with their names and desert with candles. Will be back again!

We arrived at 5:00pm Sunday to provide plenty of time prior to a 7:00pm showtime at Belk Theatre. The young male server was attentive, friendly and professional. The Manager came to the table mid-meal to ask if we were enjoying our dinner. The food was some of the best we've had in recent memory - and we eat out a lot. The salad was fresh and tasty. My cup of clam chowder was better than any I've ever had - and I've had clam chowder throughout the Northeast. The bread - delicious, straight out of the oven. My wife loved her salmon with bourbon sauce. My pork chops were perfectly prepared - juicy and tender. All the sides were delicious (mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, spinach). The ambience was delightful. Prices very reasonable for this quality food. All in all one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. We'll be back on our next visit to Charlotte.

Food was delicious, service was wonderful! The general manager, Brad, was even kind enough to congratulate us on our recent engagement!

Had a wonderful dinner while I was in town. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible. The manager stopped by our table and we had a very pleasant conversation which was greatly appreciated. This is definitely on my list of musts when I'm in town.

Just a really nice and leisurely visit. Relaxing. Customer service on point, food hot and delish. Happy hour menu is great!

It was very good. Fun place, very nice atmosphere and good service. We had a large group of 20 and the staff was on it. A bit above average.

My husband and I used to be regulars at McCormick and Schmick's Uptown Charlotte for happy hour, but we stopped going a while back when the service and quality of food and drinks seemed to decline. This week, we decided to give it another try-and we're so glad we did! It was even better than we remembered. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, and headed straight to the bar area for happy hour. Brian, our waiter and bartender, was phenomenal! He anticipated our needs, checked on us consistently, and made sure we never had to ask for anything. He even made me the best Lemon Drop martini I've ever had and asked if I preferred it more tart or sweet- a thoughtful touch I've never experienced with a bartender. I ended up having two, and both were fantastic. We ordered the fish tacos and the happy hour burger, and both were fresh, flavorful and much better than we remembered. I even asked if the restaurant was under new management, and was told that it was not, however, I was told they had made changes and "changed focuses" - which in my opinion, was a great move. You can truly feel the difference. If you go, be sure to ask for Brian, you won't be disappointed!
