Everything about our experience was top notch! What an amazing place. Thank you to the chef, staff and everyone involved. My wife and I will be back to celebrate other special occasions!
We were blown away by our dishes tonight. The scallops especially were out of this world. Eric, the executive chef, did an phenomenal job, not only creating the food, but also creating an experience for us. He came out himself with most of the dishes and talked to us about each of them. Eric even called me ahead of our appointment to check about allergies, adventurousness of our appetites, and to answer any questions I had. Truly a 10/10 person who loves and excels at his craft.
Not only was every single dish amazing, but the service was top notch as well. Someone was always nearby to answer questions, refill your drink, or make light conversation with. They were all very professional, but also friendly in a way you don't normally see.
The decor of the house was also otherworldly. You have to see it for yourself. We will be back, of that we have no doubt, we just need to convince some friends to join us for the Chefs Table option!
This place food portion sizes were small. I feel like I had more wine than I had food. Very disappointing for fine dining.
Wonderful staff. The chef was absolutely the best! Food was prepared with special care and attention. Charlotte's best in fine dining!
We put our evening in the hands of the family (chef, staff and sommelier) at McNinch to make our experience amazing. We felt the food and wine spoke a language all its own and an extension of their love for what they do and who they host.
A night to remember at The McNinch House đčâš Growing up, my Dad wasnât just an industrial engineerâhe was a hobby chef with serious skills. He spent his childhood in restaurants, and at home, he brought that magic to our table. I didnât grow up eating ânormal kid food,â and to this day, heâs the best cook I know. My love for food? 100% from him. The McNinch House has been on my list for over a decadeâand let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Executive Chef Eric OâConnor, who joined just a year ago, blew us away. We had the 4-course tasting menu (I truly donât know how people survive the 5-course!), and every dish was a standout: *Corn & Clam Chowder â the cream is everything *Bone Marrow â best Iâve ever had *Lamb Lollipops (my husbands) â best Iâve ever had; perfectly cooked *Pork Wellington (my husbands) â the basil took it over the top *Snapper Succotash â the bacon made it *CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e â perfectly done From the surprise oyster starter (cool presentation served in a shell over ice) to the palate-cleansing sorbet between courses, every detail was thoughtful and special. Chef Eric personally served our entrĂ©eâhow cool is that? The service was impeccable, with a main server and 2-3 others helping throughout. At the end, they even handed me a freshly picked rose from their garden. đ We dined in a historic 1800s home filled with charm, and afterward strolled through the gardenâflowers everywhere, twinkle lights, fountains, and the Charlotte skyline in view. I had to ask for the chefâs autograph and a photoâheâs just that good. We told him he deserves a star, and he smiled and said, âWeâre on the list.â So now Iâm shouting from the rooftops: letâs help make that Michelin star happen! He absolutely deserves it. Thank you, Chef Eric and the entire McNinch House team, for one of the most enchanting, romantic, and memorable meals Iâve ever had in Charlotte. The whole eveningâ2.5 hours of pure joyâwas not just dinner, it was an experience. â€ïž
Given the high prices was expecting much more in terms of service (staff did not seem professionally trained) and the wine pairing was very disappointing, both the quality and pours for the incremental $100/person.

We were disappointed in the food. The quality of the food was good but the quantity was not. The event advertised heavy hors d'ouevres but what we received was barely adequate.
Best meal I have ever had in Charlotte. Excellent food and service. Well prepared and flavored. Will be back soon.
House is fantastic! Beautiful venue to enjoy a great meal. Food was outstanding...diver scallops were prepared the best we've tasted. Service was excellent, and nice, quiet ambiance.
McNinch house was a unique experience, which is why we booked, so we were thrilled they delivered. Food was excellent and the service was also great! It's expensive, but if you're expecting that I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Atmosphere and dining area are exceptional but food was average ~mid compared to other fine dining I've experienced.
