Haven't been to a Mellow Mushroom in years! We went to the Charlotte FC game and wanted to come earlier so we could eat before kickoff. The service was good for as busy as they were. Pizza was great and the new pizza egg roll things were pretty tasty. The pizza was a little on the greasy side but with the amount of cheese was on the pizza, it was understandable! We'll be back.
We visited after. Carolina Panthers football game, it was just as t the end of their post game rush and we had been between two different servers. There was a big mess up with our order, but we received a free pizza while we waited for the issue to be resolved. Order of wings also never arrived but they were happy to remove from the bill (as they should). In the end we had a great time as we were also taking in some beverages which were delivered as ordered. :-)
We were visiting from out of town and were hoping to enjoy the nice weather by sitting outside. When we asked if we could be seated outdoors, the staff seemed visibly annoyed, which made us feel a bit unwelcome. Fortunately, one server (whose name I didn’t catch) kindly agreed to take care of us—he was very friendly and professional. Still, it was disappointing to hear other staff members openly complaining about us choosing to sit outside, which made us feel like an inconvenience....
