Mellow Mushroom Charlotte - Myers Park

Oh boy. This was a staple for our family for years and it has consistently been bad service that has now become terrible service. I don’t know if they want to go out of business or if they are going out of business but the crowds are minimal and the service is non-existent.The service has never recovered from Covid but it’s time for that excuse to be retired.If there is anything predictable about MM on Selwyn, it’s that the service is the worst in Charlotte. Too bad.

They have some good pizza and their cloud 9 wings are A+++. I wish you could order the cloud 9 wings on third party apps. (Only in store) And I love the decor of the restaurant.

Love their pizza. Much better than Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. Just wish there was one closer to where I live. Toppings were great and plentiful. It was lunchtime but it only took 14 minutes from ordering to receiving. Would definitely recommend and will be going back very soon.

Really easy to get to for someone that doesn't live in Charlotte or drive too often in heavy traffic. The bus was very cool and unique seating. Waitress was attentive. Alcohol took a lil while to make it to us but I think it was just one of those days late truck or something. People next to us had a bunch of kids and flipped the entire table lol...bus boy stayed composed cleaned it up quick fast. Top to bottom a good experience.

We went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch today and it was amazing! The slices of pizza were HUGE and the quality of the food was outstanding. Also, don't forget about dessert because their cookies were so good!We sat out on the patio and the atmosphere and service were wonderful. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!Thanks for a great meal Mellow Mushroom!

It has a great, for lack of a better word, "vibe" to it, the food is great and it's not just pizza. Most of its locations are very convenient and is my go-to place for after parties or get togethers. The workers are very kind, and it's just an all-around good time.

My wife and I and our six kids visited to dine in on June 9th, 2023 at approximately 5:35pm. We were sat right away but no server came for around 25 minutes until I flagged a random server down. Luckily she took our table as her own since no one else came. We ordered our food but unfortunately it took until 6:30 for the sandwich and pizzas to come. I know it wasn’t entirely our servers fault as she was great to deal but it was frustrating that tables that were sat after us got their pizza before us…We ultimately had to leave in a hurry after the food finally came as we had somewhere to be and didn’t anticipate to be there an hour just to get our food…I would not recommend this location as this is unacceptable. Once again it wasn’t the servers fault that I flagged down as I’m sure we would still be sitting there two hours later if I didn’t flag her down. We weren’t even in her section so it wasn’t her fault.

I can’t say enough nice things about the Manager, Avery. It was busy tonight, and he jumped in to help his staff. He also seemed to understand our timeline having two small children with us. We will definitely be going back to the this Mellow Mushroom location.

My medium pizza was more like a small on a medium crust. My wife's gluten free was more complete. Of course gluten free crust is marked up considerably. The pizza always taste good. Service time average for understaffed restaurant. Loud.

Selwyn Ave location has the "grooviest" atmosphere, and the pizza was very good!

Went to the Selwyn location tonight with my daughter, son in law and 3 year old grandson as that is where he wanted to go for his birthday and had the worst experience.Ordered 6 vegan pretzels with red sauce (received mustard), a medium burger (was awful) medium vegan cheese pizza and a medium Pacific Rim pizza.After about 20-25 minutes, the burger arrives. I wait 10 or more minutes in hopes the pretzels and pizza would arrive. 20 minutes later the vegan pretzels arrive (which was supposed to be an appetizer) and 10 minutes later the Pacific Rim pizza comes. 5 minutes later the cheese pizza came (not vegan as requested). The server explained that one side of the kitchen handles kids meals and burgers and the other side handles the pizza, hence why the burger came out so early. I guess the cooks don’t communicate.Asked to speak with the manager and the server stated she had asked the manager to stop by our table about 3 times. The young female manager stopped by our table and said she heard we had a problem with the length of time that it took the pretzels to arrive. She said they are made as soon as the order s put in. Doubt that happened. She also said the only had 2 pizza cooks tonight and then proceeded to tell us how busy they were with orders from Myers Park Basketball and had an 80 and 40 top coming in later. Really? And only two pizza cooks??The manager did comp $13.99 for the vegan pizza error, but I can honestly say it will be the last time we visit that location.I had just been there Friday night with my grandson and had a great experience and the male manager on duty went to every table to see how everything was.

This was a first for Mellow Mushroom. I waited, gladly, for 45 minutes to take home a hot pizza, living in Davidson. I work in South Park and was so hungry! I love the white Mushroom specialty pizza. They were understaffed and were super busy on a Sunday evening. I ordered Mushroom soup to eat whe I waited in the bar area. I had to ask 4 times for my soup. Finally the bar tender helped me. It was a cold grainy disappointment. When my pizza was finally brought to me, it wasn't even hot! I was so disappointed. This is the first time having an experience of this low caliber. Hopefully they were just having a ruff day! It wasn't only me, though, there were 4 others waiting who were less than pleased as well. Cudos to the bar tender! I had a great Moscow Mule while waiting. I would recommend giving Mellow Mushroom a try, just not on a super busy night!

Okay, Mellow mushroom. We've been to the three local eaterys with this establishment Ballantyne, Rockhill and now Myers park. I'm a long time charlottian so I am familiar with this lication. As far as I'm aware it was the first in the Charlotte area.Expect the wait staff to be "mellow" and due to the large number of children and age of the facility I found the restaurant looked messy in a dirty kinda way BUT LET ME TELL YOU. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, slow but GREAT. Multiple tables including us had pizza before Apps and the drinks took a good three rounds to get to us but AGAIN LET ME SAY, THE FOOD LIVED UP TO THE WAIT. There's nothing worse then waiting an hour for mediocre food. I would have waited all day for this PIZZA it was that GOOD. Saturday nights chef is going places and kudos to them for spitting out QUALITY GOOD. THE APPS WERE DELICIOUS, NOT OVER COOKED (bruchetta) and both our pizzas ( kosmIc karma and funky Q chicken) were so perfect that I ate all my crust. May I recommend dipping it in the mushroom soup?Anyways all in all worth a visit just needs a renovation.

We love Mellow. We go to the one home in Downtown Savannah. Brayden "Rocks" Just like Mellow "Rocks". Food is always Awesome. Brayden gave us excellent service with a Big Smile. Very polite and well mannered. Cute too ☺️. My sister and I have been in the F&B Industry for many years. He should be recognized or given a bonus or raise. It really makes a great experience if you have a server that gives a laid back service but at the same time a professional personal polished service. We visit often we will definitely be back and hopefully get to get his service again. Ty for making our meal an excellent experience and for taking our Pic in front of the STONE BAKE BUS.
