Yesterday, 11/15/2025, was our first time visiting Metro Diner & it certainly won’t be our last. The food, service, and atmosphere were top tier. We had the meat lovers omelettes, waffle, grits, a white sangria, and the cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything was delicious!! Especially, the cinnamon roll pancakes, OMG! Chefs Kiss, It tasted like a dessert! But more importantly, our server, Ty, was phenomenal. She was very personable. Knew the menu, saved us money, and super friendly. She checked on us but also let us enjoyed our food. She was amazing. Can’t wait to return!

I definitely recommend eating at Metro Diner. I had the Turkey Breast Plate - it was delicious - they have a very large selection- breakfast is served all day. The staff are very friendly!

I really don't like writing these kinds of reviews....Searched for this place while waiting for my wifes appointment at AH. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles as you can see here. My wife ordered the San Francisco Benedict with the Hollandaise on the side. Mine came out first, no frills, the fried chicken was very good but the waffle was crunchy (maybe over done) but I'm wierd. I liked the crunchyness. About five minutes later my wifes Hollandaise on the side came out. Then about ten minutes after that her Benedict came out. So i was about done eating before she started. We may try it again and I will revise my review.

This place is great! So many places in Charlotte are hard to get into for breakfast, but this place has a nice large dining room, fast service, and most importantly fantastic food!

It’s clean and service is always on point, and the food is exactly what you’d expect, never been disappointed here in the multiple times we’ve been. I love the Bissell breakfast, my son loves the chocolate chip pancakes, my wife is into their breakfast croissants, but you can’t go wrong with anything we’ve tried.

First time at this Metro Diner in Pineville, NC. 1st pic is Teriyaki Salmon bowl for $16.89 USD. Food delicious, pleased with the portion sizes. Server attentive. Recommend.

We highly recommend the shrimp and grits. It's very savory, creamy, rich in flavor, and is a delight to your taste buds. 10 out of 10!

We ordered a Chicken Tender plate and a breakfast plate. Both were hot and fresh except for the fruit. It was not fresh and didn't taste good. Nobody likes mushy fruit.

Server was polite and attentive. He did make us feel rushed.

The manager and a waitress were having a heated personnel discussion right next to our booth. It was uncomfortable and shouldn't have been allowed within customer ear shot.

I had the veggie omelette, home fries, multigrain toast, and coffee. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately, what they consider home fries are prepackaged potatoes that they fry up and toss in seasoning. I was disappointed by that, but they were still very good.
The restaurant was busy, but that's to be expected on a Saturday morning. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The only real downside was our server was unattentive and had no sense of urgency. We had to ask for everything, even basic condiments. She went MIA several times and we had to search for her when we needed something. I won't mention her name, but she's not cut out for the job.

Had steak tips there today. I spit out about 80% of the steak pieces that were inedible. Sinew, tendon, silver skin, you name it and it was in there. Paid $20 for absolute garbage. They need to trim their beef better and not try to save money by selling trash. Service was very good.
