I’ve been here twice. Both times I’ve noticed the customer service is 50/50. Some employees will talk with some sense and others will act like they don’t see you. I went in for a pickup order and the host was respectful enough to let me know to walk up to the pick up area and the others would help me. Wrong. They saw me walking up and looked away so they wouldn’t help. So I spoke up and asked “so do I just grab my bag myself?” They said “uh whats the name?” I told them and pointed at my bag sitting there. I just grabbed it and left. You’re choosing to go to a job that deals with people on a daily basis so do your job. Besides that, the food is good but I don’t know if I want to go back just because of the attitudes.

Employees are very rude answering the phone for curbside pickup. Just said it wasn’t ready and hung up first time with no confirmation they’d bring it out once it was ready or estimate on how long the wait would be. Waited five minutes and called so I could ask an estimate on the wait time since I am in my first trimester and was hoping I’d be home before I felt nauseous again. They answered and this time did at least confirm they’d bring it out when it was ready I said sorry and confirmed I was just trying to confirm how long of a wait still and the employee had already started to hang up but not before o heard them say ugh stop freakin calling. Very rude. The foods great but employees need some training on phone etiquette I get it I’ve worked food service at busy locations but if you’d properly provided the information on the cost call confused patrons would t need to call back and annoy you like your rude comment made obviously clear.

After church this morning, I stopped by the Staples on Pineville-Matthews Rd for an Amazon return and noticed this restaurant in the same parking lot with people waiting outside. I figured that was a good sign and decided to try it.
The wait was about 30 minutes, but the host Andre kindly worked to seat me in about 7 minutes when he saw I was dining alone. My server, Alexis Vineyard, was wonderful and recommended the chicken and waffles, which they’re known for.
The chicken was very good, the waffles were amazing...light and fluffy...and the strawberry butter was delicious. They also mix a sweet and spicy sauce at the table with Louisiana hot sauce and maple syrup that was surprisingly really good.
Great food and outstanding service from Andre and Alexis. As a bonus, this was my first time dining at a sit-down restaurant by myself, and it ended up being an empowering experience.
10/10 recommend. 5 stars.

Beautiful, clean restaurant with really nice people and wonderful food. This was our first visit to Metro Diner ( there are several in the Charlotte area) and we are really happy we decided to visit.

The environment is great very comfortable, food was cooked to perfection, chicken well seasoned and very juicy, and our server Alex was great as well she made sure we were well too ken care of and very helpful. Oh yea and the mimosa a must try. Didn't get to take pic of all the other food

I love Metro and only get here when I can. Today I visited the Metro Diner in Pineville, SC. April really made this visit worth it. She is a great server and a super nice personality. She is definitely an asset to this establishment and its brand. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to this location. Ask for APRIL when you come. She'll take food care of you. Im sure of it!

My daughter and I just ate here. I can't remember the servers name but she was great. We've ate a another location before. Would definitely recommend!! Keep up the great work.
