Mezcali Mexican restaurant

I don’t typically leave bad reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. My wife and I went in for drinks and dessert, expecting an authentic Mexican experience, but we were met with a series of issues.

First, I ordered a mixed drink, and to my shock, it had spicy salsa added to it. I’ve never heard of salsa in a traditional Mexican cocktail, and it completely ruined the drink—it was undrinkable. My wife also ordered a dessert, and what they brought out was far from traditional or appetizing.

What made things worse was the service. After the drinks and dessert were served, not a single staff member came by to check on us. For 30 minutes, we were completely ignored while the staff stood around chatting by the bar. Despite not consuming the overpriced drink or the dessert, they still charged us for everything without so much as a glance or concern for our experience.

The lack of care, creativity, and authenticity made this visit a waste of time and money. Definitely won’t be returning. They had a max of 5 people at this time to say the least .

Not happy , my husbands drink was made not how he asked and was still charged for it he only took a sip and nothing else. waitress also took a long time to check on us which made us even more upset after his drink being terrible !

I can’t say enough about my incredible experience at Mexicali Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The service was absolutely outstanding. Brithney and Stefanie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

Now, onto the food—wow! I started with the guacamole, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sopes were an absolute highlight: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with the most delicious ingredients. A pitcher of margaritas was the perfect pairing—refreshing, tangy, and just the right amount of kick. To top it all off, the flan was the grand finale I didn’t know I needed: creamy, silky, and a perfect blend of sweetness to end the meal on a high note.

Mexicali Restaurant delivers not just incredible food but an exceptional dining experience, thanks to amazing servers like Brithney and Stefanie. I’ll definitely be back soon and recommending this spot to everyone I know!

Great local restaurant with good service. My favorite dishes are Alambre & Cowboy Steak. Ceviche is excellent too! Definitely worth a try!

Had an excellent dining experience at Mezcali! The Mexican food was top-notch, with the shrimp and steak fajitas being absolutely amazing – cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The guacamole was a standout, light, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Our server, Jeffrey, was fantastic and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for authentic and memorable Mexican cuisine!"

One of the best Mexican food places ever, I grew up in California so it’s tough to find good places. This place exceeded my expectations everything was amazing from the food to the service. Will definitely be coming back!
