2019-07 Update: OMG y’all, after all my years eating here, somehow I had never tried their Lump Crabcakes, and have I been missing out! Bear in mind, I grew up in Delaware, so I loved Maryland crabcakes growing up. But these? OH.MY.GAWD.THEY.ARE.AMAZING!!! I’ll be getting these much more frequently from now on.Also, I really don’t understand how they have a 4-star rating. We’ve enjoyed superb restaurants around the US and Europe, and we think very highly of Mickey & Mooch. One of our favorite Charlotte restaurants! Chef Mickey and his crew have consistently served excellent meals for every course, every visit. Some of my favorites:- The Colossal Lump Crab appetizer: OMG this can almost be a meal unto itself. “Colossal” is truly the right description!- Rare Ahi Tuna: this is AMAZING. Get the Soy Ginger sauce and the Peppercorn coating for a truly mouthwatering meal.- Steaks: my wife likes them medium rare and I like mine medium, and they do a great job at getting them just right. Only once did they over-cook my wife’s, but they were very gracious and immediately cooked her a new one that was spot on.- Lamb: this is actually for my wife, who is very picky about lamb, and the one time she had it, she said it was terrific.- Sides: always very generous, not over cooked or dry, and wonderfully seasoned.- Wines: you will never feel like they short you on a glass of wine, that’s for sure! Last time we went, the waiter had to be super careful when bringing our glasses, as they were so full I thought they’d spill. One important note: they are VERY popular and crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, so it is definitely best to make reservations in advance.

The best! Their bread is delicious. The food is amazing. Of all the restaurants in Charlotte, this is our favorite.

Terrible service. It took my wife & I almost 2 1/2 hours to get through dinner as the waiter never came around. The few times he did check on us, it took forever to get what we requested; appetizer, drinks, even the bill. I literally had to get up and search the restaurant twice to look for him! Beyond this, the steaks were under-cooked and the "live big band music" was just a guy in the lounge behind a keyboard singing to karaoke tracks. I would give 1 star but I was able to track down the owner on our way out and he offered to do whatever he could to make it up to us which I declined.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday and Valentines Day with dinner on Feb. 12th, We were seated at our requested table and served by an excellent waiter whose name now escapes me. Our dinner included a wonderful seared Ahi shared appetizer, surf-and-turf (salmon & filet Mignon), broccoli, green beans, and carrot cake. Each item was fantastic, as was the warm, nicely crusted bread, and glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. Overall, and extremely enjoyable event and a good couple's photo by the server ((Marco?? He'd been there 2 years.)

One of our favorites although I will say our server Carson was not having a good night. Our drinks took 30+minutes to arrive. Not sure who's to blame for that but I think he could have been nicer overall about that situation. Food was great and I like the ambiance. If you go on a night that Bobby Ryder is performing in the bar, you will not be disappointed. He is a big part of why we love coming here.

Man.. Valentine's Day Dinner was amazing. I had grouper with shrimp! So tasty. The vibe in the restaurant was good. The music was on point. The server was a teacher, who was very pleasant. Sorry, I forgot her name. She teaches at an elementary School. But, anyway everything was on point. Seasoned well. Service was awesome!

Overall it was a good visit with nice atmosphere and good food. The service could have been a bit better because it seemed like they may have been understaffed so we had to wait to ask server for additional sides. Other than that it is a nice place and the area is great, never issues with parking.

Went here restaurant week. Food was very good. Only problem were the chairs in the restaurant. We were seated and almost sat down on chairs that had food all over them. Hostess had already walked away. Thank goodness for wet wipes in the purse.

Always amazing food, drinks, service, and entertainment. My favorite place to go on Friday and Saturday nights! Highly recommend it....if you've never visited, you don't know what you're missing.

Three of us celebrating a visit of family from Ohio...also my birthday. We were early, but were greeted warmly and promptly seated. Our drink order was taken and served promptly. But then it went downhill. More people came in and our waiter was being kept very busy. We finially placed our orders. The salads came. It was soon after our salads were finished that our meals came out. But, then everything stopped. After we were finished with what we could eat, our waiter was too busy to come back to the table. He hadn't even asked if we wanted more drinks (alcohol) or water. We had to stop someone else for more water. We needed boxes for our leftovers. We continued to sit stupidly for 20 more minutes before we confronted the manager. He quickly offered more drinks, water, whatever...on the house. We boxed up the leftovers, asked for our dessert. The manager made one comment that it was Queen's Feast, and they were very busy. Another time, after our dessert, we heard him tell our waiter to hurry with us so that we could "get out of there." The table next to us also complained and they took the extra drinks of wine and beer. But, we finally left very disappointed. We were again met by the manager at the door, and he again apologized blaming the Queen's Feast and lack of help. My thoughts are that Queen's Feast is every year, and they should have planned better.

This location in Huntersville is closed at this time. Owner is looking to build nearby and avoid rent problems. The food at this restaurant is absolutely the best around. This has been our go to steak place for over 12 years. Never a bad meal. Look for the new location and do not miss a opportunity to try their outstanding menu!

This place is wonderful! ZACH IS THE BEST EVER. The food is consistent and great. The wine pours are the best in Charlotte. My BFF and I love this place.
