As a Seattle native and recent transplant in CLT, Miku is my go-to spot for sushi. I’ve had the pleasure of dining a handful of times and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly and the ambience is inviting. The restaurant is very clean and organized. In my opinion, Miku’s overall quality & value easily beat out the competition - Red Sake. I’ve recently moved further away from Miku, but I will continue to make the drive for some great sushi!
This replaced one of our favorite local restaurants, Island Thyme.We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday and were immediately seated. Business was pretty light at that time. The crowd began to arrive just after 6:15.Food was good. We started with the spring rolls. They were were served piping hot and had excellent flavor. The drink specials were unique. We really enjoyed the "Mikutini." For the main course, we had the garden roll the chicken teriyaki. Both were very good.Service was friendly and prompt. Will return.

Maybe it's a better experience in person, but I've ordered delivery from here three times and have been disappointed each time. Three strikes and they're out for me. The food is bland, the fish quality doesn't stand out, and it's overpriced. Why must south Charlotte continue to be plagued with such underwhelming sushi restaurants?

Only our first visit here but we were extremely satisfied with the sushi.. we tried 9 different rolls all were very good. The sushi rice was flavorful and the tuna was good quality. Many different choices and the rolls were not drenched in sauce. You could actually enjoy the contents of the rolls. We ordered for take out but the atmosphere was nice, clean and could be a great date night spot. When we walked in, the hostess was sweet and helpful.. I wish I got her name because she was amazing. Super helpful with the rolls and told us about their lunch specials(for another day). The restaurant was lucky to have a hostess like her. I explained to her that we had driven about 40 mins to try the restaurants since it has been difficult to find a good sushi place closer to us.. She said that we wouldn’t be disappointed and she was right. I’m excited to go back for a second try and maybe even for a lunch special.. ❤️Parking: The hostess was sweet, kind, and extremely helpful.

My husband and I love going to Miku. We typically get a couple sushi rolls and the teriyaki chicken which comes with a side salad + soup so it’s a feast when we eat dinner here. The atmosphere is nice, service is excellent and the food is amazing.
Where to start? My wife and I came in for the first time on a Saturday evening and it was busy but we were seated right away. The restaurant was loud and bustling and our waiter approached us, took our drink order and ran down some features for the evening. We took a few minutes to look over the menu and ordered when he returned. We ordered the baked mussels app to start and I went with the premium omakase nigiri, and an order of Japanese uni. My wife ordered a surf and turf roll and a crunchy crab roll. Here's where things went kind of south. After what seemed like waiting forever for the app to come out...everything came out all at once. I get it...it's busy...but the entire time we felt rushed. We wanted to sit and have a nice meal course by course and boom...here it is. I also never received my miso soup and house salad which I would've liked to enjoy in between the app and mains. I brought it to the waiters attention and when the bill came he discounted it 10% which was a nice thing to do to make up for it.He had a lot of tables and was extremely busy running around the dining room. He did his best but because he had so many tables I feel like the attentiveness wasn't there which again took away from the dining experience. As for the food, we enjoyed it for the most part. The baked mussels were pretty good and my wife really enjoyed her sushi rolls. As far as the nigiri it was a little small and quality wise just a little above average. Based on what I had seen of the pictures on Yelp I had high expectations and it just came up short. The best part of the meal was the Uni...absolutely delicious. It was sweet and creamy...and cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. Based on this visit I would probably go 3.5 stars.

My boyfriend and I discovered Miku, and it has become our favorite hidden gem. The owner/chef and staff consistently deliver top-notch service. The food is a true highlight - always phenomenal and incredibly fresh. During our latest visit, we let the chef curate our experience, and the salmon belly, Maryland crab cake sushi roll, eel, hamachi Kama, and fatty tuna were absolute delights. Miku never fails to impress!
