Perfect destination for gameday and any event. Great outdoor patio and plenty of seating indoors. We stay at the Residence Inn and always tailgate at the hotel.

Came for a football game Hotel could not be closer to the stadium. Rooms typical Residence Inn. No Elite benefits at this hotel nor offered. Parking free however. Breakfast typical Marriott fare. Starbucks close by but not many other restaurants. Decent area to hang out after the game with hot coffee and hot chocolate available and needed!

Arrived to stay for a college football game. As we approached the street to turn and access the property, police officers had it blocked off. I called the front desk and the young lady quickly provided me with an alternative route that brought me to the hotel. We had a great room with an awesome view that overlooked the plaza area where the bands were playing before the game began. A short walk and we arrived to the stadium in no time. We received great customer service and there was adequate parking ($16 daily rate). Room was nice size, big bathroom and kitchen area was supplied. The line for breakfast was too long when we were trying to checkout so we skipped it. Would stay again if in the area.

This was the perfect location to walk to museums and a great variety of bars and restaurants. The lobby looks to be updated. The rooms are very old. The windows on the outside were absolutely filthy. The room wasn’t what I considered to be clean, but also not terrible. The first night I ran a bath water in the tub, and the water was literally brown. It was very gross. Additionally, there were leaks and buckets in the lobby. I had paid for a room that was city view. Let’s say I received a garage view and was told the upper floors were out of service due to no water. I had other issues, but there is no reason to continue. I would not recommend this hotel at over $300 per night.

This hotel was in an excellent and clean part of downtown, it was easy to get to and park at, and within walking distance of plenty of entertainment and dining spots. The place was very clean and the breakfast offered was very good. My only minor issue was in the room itself. It was a little cramped in the living room and bedroom due to the small layout, it it worked well. Would definitely stay there again

We arrived to the front desk on Friday 22nd July to be told there was a problem with our booking. Note, this booking was made many months in advance. We were told by a less than helpful girl that the hotel had overbooked and that we couldn’t stay there. To be told this only on arrival was shocking. I cannot understand even if this error had been made, why wait for us to arrive to be told. Could they not have rang us in advance. We were travelling from overseas and were making our way from Washington DC to Atlanta. The unhelpful girl on the desk proceeded to tell us they had booked us into their sister hotel. When I asked her how far it was from Uptown she didn’t know. When I looked it up it was 10 miles away. We told her that this was not good enough and it was totally inconvenient to our plans but she just shrugged her shoulders. They offered to pay our first night in this hotel that was miles out of town but this still was not good enough as our plans were ruined. When I asked her how we were going to get there as we had arrived by taxi, she said “I guess call a taxi”. This was disgraceful as she was going to let us make our own way to this unsuitable location. Eventually she offered to call the taxi and they paid for it. Still this was a total disaster as we ended up having to get a taxi in and out of Uptown for the weekend at our own cost which was more that the first night paid by the hotel. Then I noticed that this hotel then charged us for the second night even though we were staying in the other hotel. We called back into the front desk to be told there was nothing they could do as the manger was not working on Sunday. We were given a business card and told to email Rushell Jones on the Monday. We emailed Rushell the manager on Monday and explained our full situation. Not even a reply from her to apologise. The amount came back off our card but the manager didn’t even have the curtesy to reply. Our advise is steer clear of this badly run hotel who have no respect for anyone.

We had a great stay at the Residence Inn on Mint St. It’s super walkable to the Charlotte Knights baseball stadium (right across the street), the NASCAR hall of fame, museums, restaurants, bars, bowling, etc. The front desk staff was awesome-very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was great and the breakfast attendants were very nice. Parking was easy, front desk team explained it clearly, and it’s less expensive than the parking at most of the other hotels in the area. The room was really nice - I love having the full kitchen, especially since we were there a few nights. I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel stay was great until getting to our vehicle the morning after a Panthers game. We parked in the parking garage behind the hotel where we thought everything was safe after seeing multiple security cameras throughout the parking garage. WRONG! Truck was broken into by someone busting the door handle off and stole a book bag with laptop in it. No security patrolling the area and they are all dummy cameras according to police. All we received was an apology from the police officer, a report to give insurance, and a case closed email with no surveillance footage available. The theft will continue and only get worse.

The good: Awesome front desk staff; clean room, no odors The bad: Dated fixtures; plumbing backed up into tub, bath fixtures loose; no more happy hour :); breakfast staff were awesome but breakfast food not! Watery oatmeal, waffles tasted like cardboard.

Just spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend at this wonderful hotel. It is located in uptown Charlotte between Bank of America Stadium and Truist Field. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and COVID sanitation and safety measures were in place and practiced. Free breakfast is available daily with a variety of choices to start your day. The food was good and the staff in that area were very friendly and accommodating (especially the lady that prepared our waffles). Take note of the tip jar because they deserve it. The area is walk friendly and scooters are everywhere in case walking is not your thing. A terrific time was had by all.

this is the tale of two front desk people. when we checked in we were geeted by a super friendly desk clerk. Later that day we were waiting at the fron desk along with several other people with no one behind the counter. Finally my wife went to the bar which just opened (around 5 pm) and saw a person talking to the bartender. When my wife asked about the front desk, the person said "I'll be there in a minute" in a very short, rude tone. Late that evening we called for a pillow case. We were told by the same person at the front that it would be right up. About 30 minutes later, my son went to the front and was rudely told by the same person that was at the bar, that the pillow case had been delivered, which it had not. My son left rather than argue with this woman, Luckily a few minutes later a house keeping person was spotted in the elevator and we got the pillow case. This person obviously had an attitude problem and should not have been at the front desk that day. Otherwise this property has a good location for football games, but needs some upgrading .

We came down for the Panther Fan Fest and it was great to have a hotel so close to the stadium. It started raining pretty hard and it was so nice to not have far to go to get to a dry place and parking was free (once validated). I will definitely stay here again.

I have never been to Charlotte before. When checking out possible hotels, the Residence Inn seemed like it was in a good location. The amenities and spaciousness of the rooms were the deciding factors. I was more than thrilled when I checked in! This location is perfect for walking to every activity I had planned in the uptown area. The rooms were huge. I loved having a full size fridge and microwave. The breakfast was great and the staff did their best to keep it well stocked. Parking seemed like one of the better bargains of all the hotels. I loved that we had in/out privileges. Being in the heart of things, I did notice more noise than I would have liked, and my only criticism was that I couldn't set the fan to make enough noise to be a background white noise. That said, noise did not keep me up or wake me. I would come back here again without a doubt!

The hotel rooms smell musty and smokey. The front desk staff is rude and disrespectful. We reserved a two bedroom suite only to arrive and be told that our room has been given away and we had no choice but to take a smaller room with only one bed for 4 people with a horrible pull out that we couldn't even open until we moved a heavy piece of furniture out of the way. The noise from the street wasn't even as big of a deal as the smelly room and no way to keep the AC on without being cold as the other option when you lower it starts smelling like burning....We were told lies upon lies about switching rooms and just were being told that we can check out...so finally we did before the end of our stay. Total waste of our money and left feeling disgusted by this hotel experience The front desk people are definitely in the wrong industry. They need to learn what hospitality is and how to speak to people. The rudest I've ever experienced.

This Marriott property has a fabulous location and staff with excellent customer service skills. However, the property seems tired, sparse, a very high level of street noise all night long and air conditioning that doesn’t keep up. Was surprised by lack of elevator security for an urban hotel - anyone off the street could enter elevators and go up to all floors. Won’t be staying here again.
