I attended the haunted house event and waited over 2.5 hours for the worst haunted house I have ever experienced. It takes less than 4 minutes to walk through and not done well at all. This is a trap to get people to buy drinks at their bar while you wait. I have tried several times to get ahold of the bar post event with no answer. DO NOT buy tickets.
I went to the Tavern last weekend and did their "haunted house". There was literally nothing good about this place.
1. Drinks were extremely watered down. If I wanted to buy cranberry juice, I would have gone to Publix and saved myself money.
2. The haunted house was terrible. We waited almost two hours to walk around for five minutes in a three-bedroom, one-bath apartment. That is right, an apartment!!!! The only scary part was the broken-down stairs we had to climb to get to the place.
3. The music and sound system was horrible. The speakers were only located in the front of the bar by the door, so it was hard to hear. There was no consistency in the music, so it was really hard to dance.
In summary, the Tavern sucks. Save yourself and go somewhere else
The hotel recommended this place. I enjoyed the food. It was delicious and my waitress was awesome. Best steak I have had anywhere and I have eaten Steak in some top Restaurants.
I highly recommend.
Strictly speaking for the haunted tavern pop up, do not waste your money. It was so laughably short, simple, and just silly. It took about 10 minutes to get through the “house” (4 rooms). And you can’t take pictures inside, so I’m not sure why they are advertising photo opportunities on the website. Save your money and go to spooky woods or lake hickory haunts if you want something fun. Those are worth the hour drive; this isn’t even worth the 15 minute drive into uptown.
Great Time! Great Ideal in the Heart of Charlotte!!

We had SO MUCH FUN at the Haunted Tavern! I was not expecting it to be as awesome as it was. The spook "Edith" (or Edna?) was absolutely amazing and the highlight of my night. Small groups going through the haunt together was such a fun experience. Please bring it back next year!

I had an awesome time at the haunted tavern!! It was just enough spooky and fun. I also enjoyed the creatively themed drinks. Get “The Vampire Kiss”. Highly recommend for your Halloween festivities!!

I visited the Haunted Tavern this past weekend and I was surprised at the level of fun I had! The environment from walking in to the bar with a Dj and I loved the smoking drinks with gummy eyeballs!! I ordered the bloody wing basket and was not disappointed!! Now the Haunted House was fun and more than I expected!
HAUNTED HOUSE IS A WASTE OF MONEY! More like four small “haunted” rooms that your group can’t even fit in. And three mediocre employees running the entire thing…DEFINITELY not worth the cost. $5 would be more sufficient. The bar itself was also a disappointment for Halloween…not the pop up Halloween bar I anticipated…I mean the dollar store sells spider webs and other basic decor. Do better! And the drinks??? More like EXPENSIVE juice! I will never visit this place again. NEVER!!
This is a pretty cool spot. Drinks were reasonably price and staff was amazing!
