We've enjoyed the food at Mr 3s for a few years now. However, we stopped visiting the establishment for about 8 months as the result of the dilapidated parking lot. Still, we recently revisited the establishment and was met with the same pothole galore parking lot. You don't see Latino businesses do this. They'll take a location that's crap and build it to a glorious establishment....including a sound parking lot. Nevertheless, we picked up our order and made our way home. This was the very first time the food was... different. My Alfredo Chicken pasta lacked seasoning . Instead of strips of chicken throughout dish. It had one very small strip of chicken, for me to cut up. It didn't taste the same nor near the amount of chicken normally provided. The dish was primarily Alfredo and noodles. Another member of our household who's gotten the same dish for years. Unfortunately, experienced an upset stomach for a couple days after this visit. Therefore, we decided to no longer remain customers. We wish it well as black business. Yet, frown upon it's lack of appreciating it's core black customers by allowing a structural unsound parking lot to remain and comfortably disrespecting the reviewers who had a less than an ideal experience. Listen, if your restaurant is in the hood( which is fine). It is that same hood that makes or breaks that business by being patrons. It is the hood by word of mouth, that brings that business to the attention of those outside of the hood. Thankfully, restaurants of similar humble locations and beginnings, don't forget this.
One more thing. Stop having tip already chosen during checkout. Yeah, the customer can choose to remove it, but it's easy to miss. No other restaurant sites I use, have this option already chosen.

I ordered crawfish, I usually order from juicy crab or Crafty crab but I decided to try something different today and that was the wrong idea. I’ve ate here several times in the past and I enjoyed the food. But this was my first time in years trying again but anyways I had crawfish with Cajun, Lemmon pepper and garlic parm, with the Cajun I expected it to be spicy. There was no spice at all, they need other options for people who like spice. The sauce overall was just salty and nasty I couldn’t even eat the care fish because of it. And instead of garlic parm. Why not just have another option like garlic butter I wanted to garlic flavor but not with parm. The lemonade was good.

I’ve been going here for years, to the Gastonia location + the Charlotte location. It started becoming a tradition to go, raved about this place non-stop. I went here today with my friend after saying once again “Ain’t nothing like Mr3’s, you have to try it!.” Utter disappointment. $15 ultimate seafood boil…corn was old, shrimp and crab legs over cooked. Now you can’t go wrong with their delicious sausage and the potato soaking in all the amazing savory flavor, but nevertheless I’m so disappointed. My friend got fried whiting and fried shrimp with fries. Fries 10/10, shrimp overcooked, though the whiting was pretty tasty! They used to be my go-to, don’t want a refund, I want y’all to do better! I’ll come try again in a couple weeks, hopefully there is improvement!

Ordered the Ultimate Potato. The lobster was TOUGH. I ordered the mashed potato version instead of the baked potato version and still got the baked version.
Review updated to show that there are two different versions listed on DoorDash for this restaurant since a reply was added attempting to say otherwise. I even added a screenshot of my DoorDash order to prove I read correctly and selected the “correct” one. Included are screenshots from their DoorDash storefront of descriptions of both options, my receipt showing which one I selected and my actual plate with the tough lobster

I went here with my lady and we got the specials as advertised online. The food is seasoned very well and it tastes great. With the crab legs cluster special specifically, you need to get at least 2 clusters for an adult to have a good amount. The clusters are small so if you want to get a good amount, you might need to ask the cashier about how many clusters come in a seafood platter vs. how much come with the special. The pictures do not give you a good visual. The special is a lot less than what’s expected.
Parking: The parking lot is small and filled with potholes. Be careful when entering.

The food was good the Alfredo dishes were everything! Great portions to. The only thing was the sauce on the crab and shrimp were kinda salty, if they pull back on the salt the sauce will be A-1.
