This continues to be one of my favorite casual places for fish and chicken. Today our server was Deserea. She was attentive and helpful. We ordered fried flounder sandwiches and they were served hot, crispy and delicious, as usual.

We travel from Virginia to charlotte monthly and loce soul food. On Sunday, may 17th, we placed a to go order thru online ordering. We arrived about 10 mins earlier than when the order showed to be ready so my husband and I went inside to wait. Within those 10mins we witnessed 3 separate customers receive the poorest customer service. All 3 were picking up to go orders. A customer ordered fried pork chops and at the pick up of her order she opened the box to no chops was then told we're out of chops. OK we you really going to send her out w no chops that were paid for on line thank god she opened the box before she left. Was then told they could substitute baked chicken but u gonna pay the difference w an eye roll. Ive never her customers talked to like the staff were interacting with paying customers.it seemed to my husband and I that every puck up order was met with attitude. Go home if its that bad. I was fully anticipating that when our order came up to be hit with the same malice and thank God we weren't bc of I have zero tolerance foe disrespect and the owners should too. We had ordered gizzards as well as a few other items. No we weren't smart enough to open the box bc the gizzards looked like polished rocks mayb a couple were breaded but for the most part horribly prepared. Owners watch your indoor cameras more often your staff will eventually run your patrons off. As for the gizzards we now go to the original chicken and ribs and they melt in your mouth.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. Mr. Charles Chicken and Fish haven't disappoint. The ambiance is amazing and the love shown to the customers are real. I'm new in North Carolina and this restaurant is the best restaurant in town whether in downtown Charlotte or Harrisburg restaurant. Keep shining! ❤️

10/10 I can't recommend this place high enough. Fried chicken was delicious but it's the sweet tea that'll keep you coming back. My server, Raven, was spectacular and friendly. And she makes the sweet tea. Lunch menu is a good deal for the amount of food you get. Definitely give them a try.

They always treat me like family when I go there. The food is on point. And the staff is very courteous and professional. The owners always treat me with top notch service. And the owners walk around and hold conversation with you like you are the most important person there. I always take my family from the country in Virginia there. And they love it. Great family atmosphere.

The southern soul food is so good here all home cooking made on. Site large menu has indoor and outdoor seating plenty of parking service is great friendly staff reasonable priced the Chickin is second to none it's the best around chrispy and flavorful on the outside moist and tender inside secret recipe Its marinated in something and than prepared for cooking at least that's what I think It's really Good Charles has a full bar and a large entertainment space they have music and sports it's a great place karaoke on Fridays also Great local place awesome food I highly recommend mr Charles I been going there for years

Didn’t even get a chance to order food. AGAIN
About a week ago, we called to place an order and someone answered and said “one second,” and then hung up. We tried calling back multiple times (at least 10), even spacing the calls out, but no one ever picked up. Sad thing is, this isn’t the first time we have tried to call and place an order and they either hang up or don’t answer.
This specific instance happened on a Sunday around 5 PM, which is a pretty standard dinner time. Very disappointing experience—we ended up having to make different dinner plans that evening.

Me and my lady attended Friday night. They were having karaoke and the place was packed. Our food was good, the drinks were nice and the atmosphere was inviting. We enjoyed ourself. We'll be back for sure.
