Mr. Crab Restaurant

Is this place even open? Researched and selected this place as a new crab restaurant for my mom's birthday and all the lights were off at 5pm on a Monday night... Nothing on social media about closing, hours on door suggested they should've been open.

Bland chicken wings and the seafood bag was too much salt and greasy. Watered down liquor and it wasn't full. Aren't many tables for booking a party, should just be a takeout spot. Doesn't blend in with the other nice eating places in the shopping center.

I wanted Sea food so bad but when I got it this place didn’t really hit the spot. The seafood was sweet that was a first time I’ve ever had sweet crab legs and I wasn’t a fan of them.

Visited Mr. Crab on a Saturday night, and my friend and I ordered the Whiting fish and the tilapia platter which on the menu is listed at $7.99 each however nowhere on the menu do they make you aware that after a certain time the price increases to $15.99 each and brought the total of our bill to about $43 or $45 because they also had a service charge. Which isn’t mentioned on the menu either. So when we got the bill, we were of course confused. Another thing that we noticed is that on the bill it doesn’t break down what you purchased. We did request a breakdown receipt which took some time for them to provide which I did think was odd. We were pretty hungry so we were going to eat either way it just would have been appreciated to know what we were paying for beforehand. The food was pleasant but not necessarily outstanding.

I ordered over the phone and the food was really good. I had shrimp with two pieces of whiting and fries. Everything was good, when I made it home it was still fresh and hot.

I had Angel as my server, she was knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly charismatic. Came looking for a place to get seafood after eleven, left having a new favorite restaurant in town. Don't miss this spot, especially once the music starts. If I could give it six stars I could.

Parking: Parking is limited, but because the place is amazing. Keep looking for a spot.

Good service but the food is not good

Food is okay ! I purchased the half of pound ofc you not getting a lot like how the whole pound of crabs but come on now seriously only 1 cluster and a half cut potato??? & no I didn’t eat anything before this picture this is what they handed to me and I paid $21.79 for this ??!?!! ( price says $18.99 w/ 2 sides ig the half cut potato is the 2 sides) Yea I’ll go back to juicy crab where I’ll atleast get 2 clusters & WHOLE POTATOES NOT CUT IN HALF for the same price😂 first time going and will be my last! Update *** I called in and placed an order so if I ordered the wrong item the representative who took my order ( bar girl ) she rung it up wrong I told her what I wanted and yall gave me 1 cluster and a half cut potato 🤣

Can’t say enough! Awesome seafood, expertly prepared in a cozy atmosphere. Family run with obvious pride. Guy Fieri would be proud, Flavor Town indeed!

Wow! I NEVER leave bad reviews because I'm a ♊️ and if I'm going to take the time out of my hectic day it's going to be because I was happy with the service.
With that being said, I made it my business to share the ridiculous experience I had here. I ordered food somewhere other than here, saw the sign for this establishment near by and thought, I'd love some red potatoes and crab broil sauce with my meal. The girl at the register was super sweet and told me the price for a side of potatoes. When she had trouble trying to ring it up she asked for help and the guy in the kitchen (possibly the owner) said not to sell me the potatoes. She returned apologetically stating that she was told she could not sell me a side with out purchasing a full broil bag or dinner. Hmm?!? Ok so why do you have a menu listing for sides? What if I were vegan and just wanted potatoes? The place was completely empty and now I see why! Clearly you can't afford to be turning away a customer even if the total would be a $6 order. Horrible customer service and customer retention! Thanks to The Juicy Crab next door @ Northlake Mall for my delicious potatoes and sauce! ?
