Taste of Asia Halal

This review is for the “Asian “ end of this restaurant as I never tried the Kabob part. June 24’ Saw it was open late and halal. On arrival the person running came to the door and wouldn’t allow me to order inside. Annoyed me beyond but I was hungry and proceeded to order the “Mutton Biryani”He quoted 15 min wait. 25 minutes later I go back to the door to pick up my food .

When I opened the container I almost fainted. It was plain white Basmati rice on top with small pieces of Mutton underneath. I have never seen a more pathetic excuse for a dish. The meat was absolutely tasteless and without sauce to help the plain rice . I have eaten sooo many types of Biryani’s and this is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Mind you it cost $19 before tax . There’s no hunger that would ever take me back there.

I ordered chicken fried rice, but it was overpriced and tasted bad. It was extremely salty. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Terribly disappointed. We were a party of 6 and we walked in around 6:30 pm and asked the guy in the counter whether they’re open. They said they were. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they suddenly told us that they won’t be serving since they’re about to close. I asked if it’s ok to put in a takeout order, to which he replied “depends on what you order” reluctantly. So we thought ok that’s fine we will leave. Right before leaving, I jokingly asked them google maps says the restaurant stays open till 5 am. Then the guy said in reply, “I wouldn’t suggest you put in an order now of any kind” in a very condescending tone.

I don’t know what was going on. The whole situation felt very shady and my friends are visiting from out of town so it was very embarrassing.

Do not eat here on weekends. Came on a Saturday and they charged $30.00/person!!!! We asked why it was double the weekday price. The server explained they have lobster on Sunday?? But today was Saturday, and she said 30.00 was the price. Never again!!!

You have to pay over the phone and they tell you it’ll be ready in 20 minutes. We had a 25 minute drive to get there and he then went in the back to cook the food. I asked to take the rice off and he said it was already made. ( he then went in the back to cook it) on top of that, we paid $60 for sweet & sour chicken, fried rice and noodles. Way over priced for Chinese food and the extra wait time. Definitely won’t visit again.

I have fallen in love with this little gem. Their Szechuan Chicken Noodle is the only of its kind I’ve tried, but also the best noodles I’ve had. Be ready for spice, because this dish packs a punch! Highly recommend exploring this place.

The place was so depressing with a strong awful smell of oil. The food was absolutely the worst one could ever get served in a restaurant. We ordered fried chicken with chips, the chicken pieces were so small and was overcooked n burnt . The french fries were also burnt. I cudnt even take another bite. The soups were a blob of cornstarch. Never going back again!

Taste of Asia in Charlotte offers an amazing dining experience. The starters are exceptional, and the main course is equally impressive. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Asian cuisine.

I went to this place on three occasions.., WORST PLACE EVER!!! The poorest customer service you can get and the last time my wife unknowingly made reservations for this past Father’s Day THE STAFF DID NOT WANT TO LET US INTO THE BUILDING!!! After another customer let us in THE PLACE WAS FILTHY!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ARE NON MUSLIM AND DRUNK!!!

Excellent food! I went around 10 PM and thought it was closed, but they were open and made fresh food. It was so authentic and amazing. The soup was delicious, and the chicken made me feel as though I were in Pakistan eating Chinese food. Everything was halal, fresh, and delicious

employees are honest they let you know about the wait time for the food as it is freshly prepared from scratch, if you ask they will let you know that the food takes anywhere from 35-55 mins to prepare depending on your order, great small business with delicious food and affordable prices highly recommend and best thing is they are open at night and owner is very approachable if you reach out regarding any issues he solves them right away to give customers the best service to the best of his ability, sweet guy
