“Exceptional Mexican food. My carnitas taco was A+ & the tortillas were about as authentic as they get 👍🏻 I was skeptical trying another Mexican restaurant & was pleasantly surprised 👍🏻“

“I suggested to our HOA board that we go eat at Que Onda after our meeting this evening. They joked that you have to take a loan out to eat there... prices have increased. Still, we enjoyed their food in the past, and we like to support local businesses in our community. First, no more chips and salsa when you sit down ... not even an offering. What Mexican restaurant doesn't have chips and salsa when you sit down? And for dinner I ordered a taco salad, sans beans, cheese and pico. I subbed rice and mushrooms. I was charged $9.95 for the shell and lettuce, $3 for rice and $4 for mushrooms. I have ordered this veggie alternative for years at several places - never have I been charged $17 for a "salad". Had the waitress mentioned the upcharge at the time I ordered, I could have made a decision to go ahead or to change my order. But she NEVER mentioned the additional cost. Sadly, they lost 3 local customers tonight, as well as being one of the catering / community meetup options we were just discussing 30 minutes earlier. Be fair. Be transparent. Discuss additional costs instead of simply charging and assuming your customers want to pay extra - again, I would have changed my order. Adios Que Onda!“

“The Matador modern Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine paired with a lively ambiance. Diners often highlight dishes like braised pork shoulder, enchiladas verdes, and butternut squash quesadillas. These spots are also praised for their extensive tequila selections and creative cocktails. However, reviews vary depending on the branch, with some patrons loving the vibrant atmosphere and inventive menu, while others note inconsistent service or find the food less authentic than expected.
If you're looking for a dynamic dining experience, especially for drinks and sharable plates, The Matador is a popular choice.“

“Hey y'all! Can we talk... Please be forewarned, long post loading. So Monarch Market opened its doors in Uptown Charlotte today. I was so excited for Portofino's, but learned earlier this week they will not be coming until Spring 2024. I'm good with that. So I decide to pop in and see what all the goings ons is about. It was a packed, but organized madhouse. I walk around, take pictures and opt for Mexican, which normally is never my first food choice. Well, Rolled AF (that's Ashley & Felicia for those of you with naughty minds) has changed my way of prioritizing my meal choices. I had the Taquitos w/Pulled Chicken, Mexican Street Corn and Pablano Crema. Whew chile, when I say "I think I'm gonna need a bigger net!" I am talking about the pants that fit me perfectly before I walked in there. The meal was delicious. The ladies, Ashley and Felicia are beautiful and very pleasant, with smiles that bring an extra splash of sun to the market. You could actually feel how humble they were to be in our presence, when we should be praising them. Monarch Market, Rolled AF, thank you for bringing this long awaited, long needed gem to the Uptown work area. We appreciate you!“

“Mine was a delivery order, so really all I can review is the food. Holy. Effing. Gads! The tamales are absolutely delish; queso/pico/guac are all solid. And the flautas - I had the chicken and they were out of this world. Great portion sizes too! Definitely worth a shot.“
