Bouncer slammed the door on our face while we were trying to walk out because the music was shit. No reasoning at all, instead of letting us walk out he slammed the door in our face and made a whole deal out of us trying to go outside for some air.

This bar is not for everybody. I’ll just say that.

New spot, don’t get more country than this. I have a tiff with one of the bartenders who threatened to not serve me if I don’t leave 20% tip for opening two sun chasers at $25 tab but who cares! That’s a personal issue not a business issue. I’ll honky Tonk here any-day!

The horse claw machine is the most blatantly rigged machine I have ever seen in my life by far

John B was our bartender and he was so funny, and nice. Knew the area and surrounding bars, we loved him. Only coming back for him.

While visiting Charlotte for a work conference, a few friends and I were looking for a good place to line dance on Wednesday night. We saw that Nikyo's offers line dancing lessons on Wednesdays, but we were a little reluctant to visit because of the overall reviews. However, we decided to stop by and check it out with the agreement that we would leave if anyone felt uncomfortable. We walked in just as the instructor was finishing up the line dance lessons but she was super sweet and helpful in picking out some dances that we knew that the locals would also be able to do with us. The DJ was also extremely accommodating to our requests. Unfortunately, I didn't get their names but thank you both for making our visit fun! Also, we loved the atmosphere with comfortable seating right next to the dance floor which was perfect for our small group.

Nice Try

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. The line drags on forever, the staff act like they are doing you a favor just by acknowledging you, and the bouncers seem more interested in flexing their ego than letting people in. I had the same guy take my ID one night and let me in with a smile across his smug face the next. If its the end of the month, kiss your chances of getting in goodbye. Once you finally get to the bar, the service is painfully slow, and unless you are flashing an Amex Platinum, do not expect to be noticed. Hands down the worst bar in Charlotte.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Might be having a rough morning after last night, but man I’m already ready to go back! Nickyo’s Rodeo Country Bar is the place for good drinks, good music, and just an all-around great time. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is fun, and the drinks definitely hit the spot. If you’re looking for a true country bar vibe with plenty of energy, this is it!

Loved the atmosphere. But the bartender wearing a red flannel around her waist was very rude. And I’ve seen other reviews about her too…
