I love this place, but the last two times I’ve been here, I’ve had to wait 20 minutes for a biscuit breakfast sandwich (with multiple follow ups from me.) I get it, you’re busy, but there needs to be better communication with the kitchen.

4.5-4.7 would be my overall rating, but I err to the positive. It was Saturday morning and they were incredibly busy, which I’m sure accounted for the longer wait. But my cappuccino was good good good. The bagel was usually good for a plain bagel. I’d pass next time on the chocolate banana nut bread.

I will try again next time I’m in town.

Warm atmosphere, comfortable seating, and a calm vibe that makes it easy to stay awhile. Drinks are well made, service is friendly, and it’s a great spot to study, catch up, or just slow down for a bit.

I love getting a little breakfast and coffee here on the weekends. They are usually pretty consistent and it’s not too hard to find a seat- even when it’s busy.

The peppermint mocha is a great balance of flavors and not too sweet. Also love that they are donating to a great cause!

Large clean place that offers both coffee and wine. The free jazz performances draws a very eclectic crowd of both young and older with a mix of races. Great atmosphere and vibe.

A true Charlotte gem — Not Just Coffee lives up to its name.

If you’re looking for a spot that feels equal parts modern workspace, weekend hangout, and culinary retreat, Not Just Coffee absolutely nails the vibe. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by an open, sunlit space with high industrial ceilings, exposed beams, plants, and minimalist decor that feels effortlessly cool. It’s bright, airy, and has that perfect “creative energy” — zone out with a laptop for hours.

☕️ Drinks
I ordered their loose-leaf tea, and it was exceptional — rich, aromatic, and clearly high quality. You can tell they take their tea and coffee seriously. The brew came clean and perfectly steeped, not bitter or overdone. You’ll also see they have a solid coffee menu (batch brew, pour-over, cold brew, matcha, etc.) with plenty of milk options including oat and almond — they cater well to all preferences.

🍳 Food
The Breakfast Sandwich was fantastic — perfectly toasted brioche bun, fluffy egg, savory sausage, and melted cheddar all balanced beautifully. It’s comfort food done right, but elevated. The brioche itself is soft, buttery, and rich — holds everything together without falling apart.

I also tried the blueberry pastry, and it might be one of the best café pastries I’ve had in Charlotte. Moist interior, crumbly sugar top, and just the right amount of real blueberries. Not overly sweet — it tasted homemade in the best way.

🌿 Atmosphere
This place is designed to make you stay longer than you planned. Natural light floods the entire café through large windows, and every corner feels thoughtfully arranged — from tall bar seating to cozy chairs and greenery. It’s spacious but intimate at the same time. The soft indie background music and aroma of roasted coffee beans just tie it all together.

You’ll see people reading, studying, holding business chats, and just relaxing — yet it never feels loud or chaotic. It’s the kind of place that calms your mind while energizing your day.

💯 Overall
Not Just Coffee isn’t just a name — it’s a statement. This place is a vibe. Great energy, thoughtful menu, professional but warm service, and aesthetics that make you want to come back every week. Whether you’re a local creative, a coffee purist, or just someone who appreciates quality food in a beautiful space, this café should be on your must-visit list in Charlotte.

Coffee, great! Customer service... right before close not so great... stopped here right before a concert just for a quick pick me up. Employees whispering and giggling to each other when my group walked in & looking at us while doing so. Employees had nasty faces while waiting for our orders & one walked away completely because we didn't have our order. Also, someone in my party had their iced drink spill all over & employees just stood there & laughed to each other instead of grabbing a towel to help clean up. Someone in my group had to ask for a towel.. Our groups first time will be our last time sadly...

Can be pricey, but the drinks are well worth it. My new favorite coffee shop in Charlotte. Best coffee and matcha! Staff is sweet and cares about the quality of what they’re serving (-:

Trendy co working space. Pet friendly. Free water and wifi. Food was fresh made warm and tasty. The menu can be a little confusing because the information it not all there. For instance. The menu has biscuits on it but what it doesn't tell you is they are only served on weekends. Minor inconvenience at best. All in all I would recommend. Big coffee and co working space. FYI. It's card only. No cash.

The avocado toast is also very good!

The matcha and breakfast sandwich were both good, but the service was terrible. The workers looked like they didn’t care about their jobs and acted rude the whole time and rolled their eyes. It completely ruined the experience. The food and drinks have potential, but the staff seriously need to be replaced or retrained.
