Our family had such an incredible dinner at open kitchen. It was our first time trying it and we were so pleased first and foremost Heather was so kind welcoming, and made us feel right at home! She had great recommendations and everything we ate was delicious! My recommendation the Ravioli Parmesan! We can’t wait to go back and try some other things on the menu! Again, thank you Heather!

Braciole was not beef steak, they absolutely used deli meat, 🤦♂️ such a let down. The worst part was that it was ice cold in the middle. Ruined our dinner night in Charlotte. Such a let down. Don’t waste your time or money. Olive Garden is more Italian than this dump!

This place is for sure a hidden gem unless you know about it! The food is absolutely amazing! The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect and is like stepping back in time. The crabmeat Parmigiana is what drew me to this place and it did NOT disappoint! From the appetizer to the main dishes right down to the dessert, everything was phenomenal and I can't wait to go back and work my way thru this menu! It's a definite must try in the Charlotte area!!!

All five stars, best Italian in Charlotte!
Sidebar: rude customer playing news on their phone detracted slightly from the mood and the beautiful music. Staff should have called him out.

My wife and I have been eating at this establishment for 50 plus years.
The service that was provided during one of our recent visits was below the excellent standards that is usually provided from the OK staff.
The new server we had was more interested in talking on her phone than performing her duties. Initially, she didn’t bring the right drinks that were ordered, when she finally came back to the table and we informed her of the mistake, she didn’t bring the right drinks back for 10 minutes!
We ordered our food and when it arrived at the table two of the dishes out of four were not what was ordered.
In the mean time, she has been back on her phone between all these episodes…
At one time she placed her pocket book over her shoulder and acted as if she was leaving the restaurant??
We did not know what her issue was, but she definitely should not have been working that evening.
Hopefully, the management of OK will strive to be more aware of their servers and their needs in the future.

I live in Raleigh but my wife's family lives in Charlotte, so we are in town several times a year... and every single time, I beg them for the opportunity to go to Open Kitchen for dinner. Next to my beloved Luigi's in my hometown of Fayetteville, I can honestly say this is some of the best food I have ever had. The bread is UNGODLY, as is the incredible pizza. The atmosphere is wonderful, as well... I personally love all the sports pennants on the wall. If you are ever in the 704 (perhaps you're looking for a good pregame meal before a Panthers, Hornets, or Knights game), do yourself a favor and enjoy the incredible food at Open Kitchen!

NOODLES WERE FROM A BOX AND ALMOST ICE COLD, CHICKEN PARM WAS TOUGH ,OVERCOOKED, AND WAS NOT AUTHENTIC AT ALL,(microwaved and thrown in a dish with sauce and melted cheeze) GARLIC BREAD WAS DAY OLD AND ALMOST WAS LIKE EATING CROUTONS. THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT, WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON WHY ANYONE WOULD EVER GO HERE. WORST ITALIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN AT A DINNER TABLE. BY THE WAY, I HAVE 4 CULINARY ARTS GOLD MEDALS. I AM A PREFECT JUDGE OF ANY FOOD, CONSIDERING THAT I HAVE TRAINED with REAL Italians overseas. THIS PLACE IS REALLY BAD. REALLY BAD. FOnt size is to draw your eyes.
