The food presentation was good, the food was tasty, but it wasn’t anything I had not had before. The wait staff was amazing.

Awesome decor! Food was spectacular (small plates). Coke/Sprint was a little flat but beyond that superb. Staff (attentive and professional). Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying we have been to Para 2x and it was excellent. On Valentines Day yesterday (not busy at all), we had very sub par experience. We were there for almost 2.5 hours. We only ordered a mushroom shooter, a crispy rice cake with salmon and a cacio e pepe w scallops. First, it took like 40 minutes just to get the mushroom shooter (was good), then another 20 minutes for the cacio e pepe and scallops. The scallops were room temp at best and the "pasta" was an over cooked clump. 20 minutes later came the rice cake which was great.Water was only delivered 1x and it was because we stopped and asked for a refill. When the waitress came by, I asked if they were understaffed, which she said no. I mentioned, have the kitchen watch the temperatures because our scallops were barely room temp. She apologized and the manager said dessert was on them, which we were not looking for at all.So after another 30 minutes of waiting for our "free" dessert (never received it), we gave up and asked for the check. She was kind enough to take off the cork fee for our wine but then we had to send the check back because they tried to charge us for shishito peppers that we never ordered.Look, everyone was nice, but the evening was a disaster. I am hopeful this was not everyone's experience but I could see others being really frustrated. This might have been many 1st time visits and likely last visits if they had our experience. For us, we will give Para another try because our other 2x were great. Please improve Para. We need great places to eat in Charlotte.

They tried- it wasn't terrible but was not good and will not be back. My husband and I both walked out saying we did not feel good after eating there. Food felt heavy and over sauced, fried etc. also not a big selection of food for small plates that you are going to want to get 4-5 plates. So many good places in Charlotte, I wouldn't waste my time here.

Great atmosphere with good music, decent service, but the food and options are very limited. Para has a shareable food gimmick with small portion sizes. Even the larger dinner plate options would be considered a shareable. Drinks were decent but we left very hungry and needed to stop by another restaurant to get food after spending $150. I wouldn’t come back unless the menu was updated with more options. You can definitely get more bang for your buck and the same atmosphere elsewhere. There was nothing that really stood out except the atmosphere.

The drinks were amazing! They've got a decent selection of mocktails too. The service was good, however, it did feel like our waitress was bothered by us despite needing minimal help over the evening. I would've liked to see more variety in the small plates. The food we had was delicious. I absolutely hated the fact that they put the spicy crab on top of these pebbles in a dark restaurant. They looked like legumes because it was dark and half the table accidentally chewed on rocks.

Highly recommend the broccoli for a starter! Absolutely incredible. We also really enjoyed the lobster rolls and lamb chops! Ambiance and cocktails were amazing as well.

Nice decor inside and a very nice vibe. They did have some good music playing. It's very dimly lit inside so it's hard to see a bit if you're looking at the menu. There is also outside seating but it was chilly outside when I went. I think this place has alot of potential but they're just trying to hard to be an "upscale" spot. The menu items for food were confusing and the descriptions didn't match the items. I'd say the edamame was very good, I also tried their crab rangoons which I wouldn't suggest to order, the rangoons werw coated in a pretzel type bread and a weird cheese sauce. The drinks that we had were good and the bartender was nice. The old fashioned was well made but it was listed as a regular old fashioned and not a smoked old fashioned so I was surprised when it came out. Simple things weren't described. I'd only grab drinks here nect time and eat somewhere else.

Bruschetta was the best I ever had and this isn't even an Italian restaurant!!!Drinks were delicious and the whole experience was amazing with delightful staff that were so accommodating.I am from Toronto where restaurants like this would be a lot more expensive! To me, this restaurant is Michelin level!Amazing ambiance and great location in the south end, will definitely return. Worth the trek from Canada!

We had a nice experience… the food was good, the service was prompt, but the portions were small and pricey for what you get. No doubt the quality is there… just left the restaurant hungry.

Para was an interesting experience. I had heard good things but when we arrived, we were some of the only ones there, 7:00 pm on a Friday night. I was further surprised when the food and drinks came out. I had the Para Agua which was a great, really nicely balanced drink and we split the broccoli and Korean Carbonara. The broccoli was next level and the Carbonara was also very good. Our server was nice as well, it was just strange to see this restaurant so empty. Would recommend, a good area as well with many bars and restaurants nearby.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Amazing ambiance and the background music playing was 10/10. The food is exceptionally high quality and worth the price. Thank you for the delicious vegetarian options. We ordered every vegetarian item on the menu. Hard to pick just one favorite but mine would be the shishito peppers and my husband loved the Korean carbonara. We cannot wait until the next time we visit Charlotte as coming back to PARA will be the top of our list.Wheelchair accessibility: wheelchair accessible, ramp to enter, large bathrooms
