Peño Mediterranean Grill

I recently tried Peno Mediterranean Grill in Charlotte, NC, and it might just become my new go-to spot for fast fresh Mediterranean food. The house salad with gyro meat was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the shawarma was equally delicious. The staff were friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions, making the visit feel welcoming and attentive.

This place gets a lot of praise for its quick service, quality ingredients, and warm atmosphere, and now I understand why. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, hot, fresh, and genuinely satisfying from start to finish.

Highly recommend this spot for a tasty Mediterranean fast-casual meal in a clean, inviting setting. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving a quick Mediterranean treat!

I am Soo surprised that this place has so many reviews. It was Soo grimmy in there. Everything had a layer of dirt and oil. Surprised the health department hasn't come by. When you throw your trash away you can get a glimpse of the kitchen and it makes you question your choice for eating it. So dirty, the bathrooms we Soo filthy as well. The workers were nice and got our food order right away.

Charming atmosphere and delicious meals

It was a good classic lamb gyro, plenty big enough. Wife enjoyed her chicken gyro. Casual order at counter. Music was too loud IMO.

Ordered a gyro platter and it was quite tasty overall. Gyro was hot and nicely cooked. Rice and hummus were good. Staff were friendly. Only minor issue was it was abit warm inside. Would recommend if you are wanting a “fast food” type Mediterranean restaurant.

Not value for money. Avocado and Tomato salad was not fresh. It’s just fast type Mediterranean food. Will probably not go back.

I've had Mediterranean food before and I have to say the offering was above average. We ordered the gyro plate and the veggie gyro plate and we were pleased with what they brought to the table. We ordered fries as well and there was nothing bad to say about the food. It was tasty. The restaurant wasn't busy and the staff was both attentive and good humored. I'll give it my highest praise. We will return.

Peño is one of my favorite spots for Mediterranean food in town! The place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, the food is always flavorful, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're craving a delicious gyro shawarma or just want to try something fresh and tasty, I definitely recommend it!
