Absolutely the best service we have had anywhere in south Charlotte in years. Great food. Great music (not too loud). And fantastic staff. If you haven't been here in a bit, you need to go back.

I had a bowl of their delicious Clam Chowder. Then, I followed up with a couple of dozen house oysters on the half shell. Everything was pretty reasonably priced. Our waiter was on top of it all. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great seafood dinner.

This was a really nice place several years ago, they used to have tablecloths, cloth napkins, etc., now just paper napkins. Went recently and thought the food was so so, nice waiter, but atmosphere was not the same. Everything on the menu seemed expensive. Oysters were good, but will not go back.

Just No. Arrived at 8:26 and the three employees that were sitting at the bar with three tables that had not been bussed said they had just called for last call. And they couldn't take any more people. We walked over to Basil Thai and they were ready with smiles. It smelled great and the restaurant was clean and full of people.

Been coming here for years and each time it previously was enjoyable. The oysters were always a hit, until today… I’m not sure if it’s out of season or if they changed suppliers to save some money… Whatever the reasoning, it was a major disappointment this time. Drinks were a complete disaster, even after asking to redo them. Service was super slow and missing a personable experience. Something has happened in the past 6-8ish months for the worst. I hope management and/ or the right people find this review and address the concerns before it continues to spiral out of control.
This was my first visit, and I’ll definitely be back. The guy serving me and my friends at the bar was very friendly, and gave two of us oysters on the house to try. I’ll make sure I come back in the future and recommend this location to others.

My husband and I had been waiting for a couple of years to dine at Pearlz since we moved to Charlotte. We ended up ordering 2 entrees, 3 appetizers, and some scallops. We were incredibly disappointed by the quality and amount of food provided. The crab dip tasted old and only covered the bottom of the cup. The lobster in the lobster roll was overcooked and spongey. The $18 scallops lacked any uniformity in the 5 that were provided, although they were delicious. The coleslaw provided with the underseasoned fish fry tasted like cabbage with mayonnaise. Again, a rather disappointing experience. We will not return.

( updated with another Excellent review ) Excellent ! Tried a few thing ! Alex waited on us at the bar and she was the Best . Also have to mention Owen who shucked the delicious oysters ! Both so friendly and went above and beyond to make our dining date the best ! We had oysters ( both fried and raw , fish , coleslaw ( soooo good ) and the wedge salad that the blue cheese dressing was … DELICIOUS! Definitely will return !…went back .. great to see Owen again . Shannon waited on us with excellent service .. got the oysters again and still delicious !! Tonight tried the OH SO GREAT blackened scallops that came with a jambalaya like rice and also tried the taco .. EXCELLENT !! Added pictures !

First impressions - it is much more casual than we thought, which was ok! Next time we won’t sit at home wondering what to wear. It’s the kind of place where you can dress up as much as you want for your special night, or take it down to casual and be totally comfortable and not out of place.Our server was wonderful. He was attentive and really friendly. I saw a mocktail on the menu that sounded amazing, but I was looking for a drink like a martini. I asked our server and he immediately asked the bartender if it was possible to turn that mocktail into an alcoholic drink. She said no problem! And it was delicious! We ordered a dozen raw oysters. The size and taste were great! I read some reviews where the oysters were small, but we didn’t experience that at all. These were very meaty and very delicious! Also ordered two steamed to try. Everything was delivered quickly, freshly opened and tasty! Next we ordered the egg rolls. Amazing! Great portion size, crispy and so full of flavor! Loved the dipping sauce too!Lastly, we ordered one of each taco. This is the only reason for 4 stars. The tacos were tasty but nothing amazing. The mahi mahi had a very small piece that didn’t even fill the whole taco shell. It was also a little dry. The shrimp was ok, but I would rather have had grilled shrimp. Maybe that is an option. I didn’t ask. The tuna was not cooked to my liking and dry. But some may have liked it cooked that “well done”. The toppings on each taco were delicious. We loved how each were different.In summary - we loved it and will definitely be back!
