I was on my way to Chipotle when I remembered this place and had never been here before. I’m vegetarian so I usually go with the sofritas at Chipotle, which isn’t great, but it does the job. I ordered the tofu burrito from PHAT burrito and let me tell you - this tofu is LIGHTYEARS better than the sofritas as chipotle. It’s marinated and seems to be air fried or something, it has a chewy and meaty texture. I’m so happy to have this option now.

I didn’t order my food to sit in but to go and I ordered the Baby Nachos… I appreciate the quest being on the side because while I enjoy soggy nachos I don’t want them ALL soggy lol! Really missed them when they closed but so glad they’re back open! Freshest chips I’ve had in a while and can’t to dig into my baby chicken nachos!!!

Best Burrito I’ve had in Charlotte ever.
If you’ve seen my reviews before, you know I’m all about great food and meeting new people. My recent visit to Phat Burrito in LoSo Charlotte was a blast! I ended up here thanks to my brother’s suggestion, similar to my experience at Mad Greek Charlotte(definitely check that review out!).
As soon as I walked in, I got this awesome vibe that reminded me of ‘Donna’ from That '70s Show. If you’re not familiar with her, you might miss the reference, but trust me, Liz totally nailed that energy. While my brother was pondering the menu, I struck up a full-blown conversation with her, and she instantly knew who I meant!
Liz is not just friendly—she’s absolutely charming, with long blondish-red hair. Her customer service was incredible. She took our orders while keeping our chat lively and even helped me choose my meal. I asked for half tofu and half veggies, and I ended up with a bowl instead of a burrito, but honestly, I didn’t mind at all. The food was fantastic! Liz apologized for the mix-up, but I was just happy to dig into my meal.
The only downside? Parking can be tricky. But the location is super convenient, so I’ll definitely be back! Thanks, Liz, for making my visit so enjoyable!

Phat Burrito dies not have their sanitation rating listed and I had to look it up, the burrito ? favor was lacking, steak was cold like its not freshly cooked. Atmosphere was dull and pricing high.. Chipotle is better priced and better tasting

Highly Recommend! The new location is awesome. Great service, great people and great quality food. Also we have used them twice for catering and it has always been a great experience for large offsite groups...

Update: ordered nachos a second time on 9/18/24 and it again did not have much queso. My nachos were mostly chips :(

Nachos had almost no queso - I’ll update this if anything changes the next time I try it. Restaurant had a sewage smell.

I used to love the old Phat Burrito, and have been wanting to try the new location for a while now. Well, it was fantastic! The food was delicious, prepared quickly and the staff was extremely kind and went above and beyond to make our visit a memorable experience. My kid lost her small toy while we were there, and while we didn't find it, the staff graciously tried to help us look. So kind! We will definitely be back. Thanks you guys!!
Vegetarian options: Tofu on my burrito was delish, they also have grilled veggies as an option.
Parking: Parking is hard here. Thankfully, we came on our bikes, but my sister struggled to find a spot. Staff was super helpful in their suggestions though. The deck close by costs $16 and sadly won't validate for Phat Burrito.
Kid-friendliness: Multiple kids menu options for $6.50. (Definitely a draw bc kids meals are too expensive in this town). The beans/ rice side dish was too spicy for my kids though. Also offers a fun atmosphere with some games/ toys available to play with if desired.

Love this place. Best spot for a burrito in Charlotte IMO. Always had a positive experience with friendly service. Makes a big difference compared to rolling into Chipotle, Moe’s or Qdoba.
Vegetarian options: Veggie options or my new favorite, Tofu!

I had a chicken bowl. But it’s the canned chicken for me. I was not happy with it at all.
