Quick and friendly staff with great food at a reasonable price. Not overly loud for meetings.
Love the service and attention to their patrons. Never ignored. Always acknowledged, even when busy.
Sandwiches are great and I love coming here.
delicious ! Phils special and excellent potato salad also friendly service
I'll return soon
A locally owned sandwich place that has a very good breakfast and lunch menu. The Reuben is good and I will always support old Charlotte spots like this.
Great place.
Best cheeseburger that i eat in a while. Amazing place!
I had a bagel and lox platter today and it was simply below average in quality. Platter had limp lettuce, a disposable tiny single serving of cream cheese, a few loops of stringy red onions, coffeemate creamer, awful bagel and curt service. They need to visit a real Jewish deli to be schooled properly. Never again here.
We decided to place a to-go order due to the large number of customers in the restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience was diminished by an encounter with a rude and impatient older lady, which was disappointing. However, I must mention that the veggie sandwich and potato salad were enjoyable and tasted good.
Tables too close together (inside), loud atmosphere, rushed service and not helpful with questions about menu.
For such a well known restaurant, it's run like a third world country. Jewish deli wannabe run like a three stooges movie from the 40s. Shape up please and get more professional. It's an insult to folks looking for this flavor deli.
It succeeds by default.

Last time I ordered from phils I called to ask what kind of pastrami they used "Boarshead" was the response. Boarshead is okay for certain meats n cheeses but not pastrami and corned beef. You would never ever see that in a high quality deli. Needless to say that was the last time I ordered from phils. I'm sure some of their stuff is good, but If I want a Boarshead pastrami sandwich I can make it myself.

I met Phil and Denise at a restaurant I work at. They knew everyone there so I asked them how. They mentioned they owned a local restaurant and that I should stop by. So glad I did! I ordered the turkey and cheese on rye with a side of potato salad. This was my first time having rye bread and it was so fresh! It’s made in house. This is a perfect spot for lunch. I now see why it’s so popular! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. you’ll leave full and happy. Show this place some love, you won’t regret it.

Great pastrami Reuben sandwich, I ordered through Doordash for pickup and it said it would be 30 min, but in 11 minutes it was ready even though the place was super full, people waiting to get a table. The sandwich was a very good size, the side of potato salad was outstanding, definitely visiting in the future.
