Polo Campero which is originally from Guatemala and not Mexico as others have labeled it as, is hands down the best fried chicken there is, deep flavor through and through, crispy chicken while the batter isn't too thick, as compared to other U.S fried chicken places Polo Campero doesn't feel like you are eating over processed by-products of food, oh and not to forget they also have grilled chicken which is also really good, everytime I have eaten at a Campero the chicken has always been exceptional fresh and tasty, this location is no different, love the sides they have as well, always grateful when there are Campero locations in a town I'm visiting I always make it a point to stop in, also try the empanadas they are pretty good!

When I went in I was ready to eat but when I went up to the register was ready to pay. They told me that Cash only because their system was down, but whenever they have put a paper or sign that their system was down and cash only. So I have to go to my bank to get some cash luckily, there was one in front of me at the side of the street when I came back and order my food I went to the restroom. My sister-in-law was with me and I came back. Her food was already at the table when I had already Paid first before. And I was waiting about 15 minutes until the server came installed. I have nothing on my table. And she asked me if I had been certain I told her no I went up to her with her. I told older ladies what was going on where was my food? I was been waiting with my child now we was hungry and we can three hours away. They both stare at me and also the manager Was staring at me Dead heart. And I didn’t like that, knowing that she’s the manager, she didn’t do anything about it.She just looked at me with a glance eye. And the cashier also looked at me. They just stood there doing nothing while the server was doing all the work by herself. This was Friday 1 of August. Around 12 lunchtime please have a talk with her and let them know to put a sign next time their system goes down I would like a refund I was not having a good time. I had already wasted my money because I was about to go somewhere else to.

Charlotte is a fried chicken city. Aside from being the headquarters for Bojangles, we've got outlets for all the big chains - KFC, Church's, Popeye's and such. Several excellent local restaurants, too. So I had high hopes today for Pollo Campero.
PC was clean when I arrived at 12:30. Quite busy with about a third of the tables in use and the remaining were clear of dirty dishes. Surprising because they don't have a trash can that I could see - the staff bus and clean tables, clearing them swiftly.
I ordered a three piece at the counter and it didn't take long until a running found my tent card and I was able to start. The chicken was thoroughly cooked, still moist. Not much for flavor in the skin today, it needed some hot sauce to bring out the taste.
The cole slaw was creamy and crisp. Still good but also a little bland. The small dinner roll wrapped in plastic was fresh and fluffy.
Overall, it's a nice little fast food spot. If you're looking for something in a known quantity along South Boulevard near the light rail, this will work nicely.

Tried to order grilled chicken 45 mins before closing, was told that it would be either 30 mins or a hour to cook it, but they couldn’t tell me how long the chicken would take to cook. Sounds like they just didn’t want to work so close to closing. Will never visit here again

The receipts print out surveys after you make a purchase however they are not honoring them. If you don’t want people to do the surveys then they shouldn’t be on the receipts. No where on the receipts does it say minimum purchase required. So to complete a survey and be told that it’s not honored because you have to make a minimum purchase which is not in the fine print. This is terrible customer service and management is awful. Also asking for customer name and information is insane.

The customer service is outstanding Today I witnessed a generous act someone who hadn’t bought anything and was riding a bicycle came into the parking lot and asked for water They were treated with great empathy and were kindly given water without hesitation Acts like this deserve recognition Keep up the great work! People are always watching.

First they were out of grilled chicken at 7:15pm, not even offered to wait for some, just told they didn’t have half the menu. Now we get home and our order has no sauces at all. Most of the time we come here, there is an issue- but usually we overlook the bad service because we like the chicken. There are plenty of places to get chicken, I recommend not going here.
