I have no idea what that other review is talking about- with the hard bagels?? These bagels were so incredibly soft and fresh! They taste amazing, the chew is perfect. I only got 3 bagels, sliced and to go, so I wasn't able to try any sandwiches. But I will be back to try more!!

Ordered 2 sandwiches a Lox Bagel for a whopping 18.00 only to have it almost cost me a dentist appointment! Bit into the hardest rock solid everything bagel ever! The cream cheese was meh. Same with the Blueberry Egg cheese and Canadian bacon sandwich rock hard bagel 30.00 for 2 bagels sandwiches and not enjoying them sucks. Disappointed really to try a local spot only to leave you wishing you’d just stopped at Einstein bagels!

If the bagels weren’t good most of the time I wouldn’t return. Sometimes they remember to double toast sometimes don’t. The website is ALWAYS having issues with online ordering. Have they heard of Apple or google pay? And the employees are unpleasant, they act like they are doing you a favor taking your order.

Poppy's Bagels is a great stop for breakfast and lunch! The staff is friendly and the food is good. The omelets are extraordinary!

Good bagels.

they told me they’re open til 1pm on July 4th. Drive out, and they refuse to take my order (a single bagel) at 12:28. Pretty rude

Only complaint is the service. They seem annoyed that you are there. Great bagels, classic atmosphere, but as a customer it feels awkward when the person behind the counter clearly does not want to be there/have you there

We have been coming to Poppys for about 9 years and lately we have only come like 1 time every 3 months because they have gone down hill so much. You would think coming first thing when they open you would get the freshest bagels but this was like biting in to a rock. So horrible and they just don’t care anymore so disappointing!

This has become my regular breakfast stop before work and i have only had great experiences and the food is consistent, quick, and delicious. Today I accidentally ordered pick up from the wrong location and when I arrived they remade it for me for free and in under 5 mins.

I used to come here a lot but recently the quality has gone downhill. They never remember to toast the bagels for pick up orders anymore. And when I ordered a knish yesterday it was served to me ice cold. I asked the girl at the counter to hear it up and she popped it in the microwave and forgot about it. By the time I got it it was grainy and inedible. Currently looking for a new bagel spot where the workers care about quality.

Ordered delivery recently after a number of friends recommended this place… have to admit I was skeptical, because I have been told about several other places that had “great bagels” since I moved to NC about a year ago…. lol. Anyhow, this was the first decent bagel I’ve had in the area. Thankful to not have to stuff as many in my suitcase when I go home next time!

So as a New Yorker bagels are important from start to finish. Since moving to NC I've stopped at just about every bagel shop that ppl claim have NY style bagels. All New Yorkers know saying that doesn't mean anything lol. Well I'm here 9 years now and I have only found 2 bagel spots that are about as close as a New Yorker will get to home. This place is one of them. I love nothing more than the fact they sell Onion and Garlic bagels since this is not a common thing here. This is definitely the spot for great bagels and breakfast sandwiches.
