The food was okay, the drinks were amazing. Not much variety on the menu or what you would expect for a mexican spot. I got the carnitas tacos, but my friend got the milanesa torta and that was pretty tasty. The service was amazing.

Too be fair I am not to give this place a bad review because not really bad just tacos look dry and don’t put salsa on the taco . They put no chips and salsa on your table unless purchase a dip. For a restaurant hype on instagram and tic tocz this restaurant does not really delivere on the prices. I got chicken wings that were 15 dollars now 6-7 pieces come one now that could been 12 or 10 dollars for a starter. Then gratuity charge is is 20 percent. When bring a party of 6 or more. Like come on stop being greedy for tip on top of that . Then not really being prepared for large party and sitting paper towels under the to keep a wobbly tables up is just flat out embarrassing and disturbing as well . In my opinion they need new management because this restaurant lacks culture and resolve for authentic Mexican restaurant. Just embarrassing

Huge 5 stars for the employee on the phone at the Que Onda Uptown location (forgot to ask his name!). I accidentally ordered via giftcard to the Uptown location rather than the Highland Creek location, and he called the HC manager and somehow got the order and gift card payment transferred to the spot!! Excellent customer service, above and beyond!

The food was absolutely delicious! The service was good not great but it was also like a massive lunch rush so I completely understand! I would 100% recommend this place. And I will be back.

Very good food, fun atmosphere. We reserved for a group of 18 ahead of time. They would only reserve high top tables, refused for us to reserve regular tables. We still had to use regular table beside it, not set up for 18. Kind of odd we couldn't reserve regular tables. They only had 1 waitress for our group. She was very nice but overloaded while the managers or owners were just watching her. They did help hand out food and helped then. Waitress did a nice job, but help your staff owners or managers.

5/5 Explored the city for the first time and worked up an appetite. Glad I came across Que Onda while I was busy being a tourist because the staff and food were exceptional! I loved chicken empanadas growing up and was beyond happy to see this as an option. Of course they were delicious! The side of queso was also a bigger portion size than what I'm normally used to for the same price. I'd come here all the time if I were local. Until next time!

Im not from Charlotte but EVERY TIME my partner and i would be in Charlotte and we couldnt find somewhere to eat , Que Onda was our GO TO SPOT!! We HAD to go there every time we touched down in Charlotte.. UNTIL recently .. we went around christmas break 2024 and was i disappointed… the servers were different the food was different and the experience was worse… my appetizer is always the same .. some chicharron with extra lome in the side’ … sooo. Good ! When i went this time around and asked for some ‘chicharron’ they gave me ‘CHIPS’ …. Then wen i said thats not what i asked for they were SO CONFUSED… the drinks were also a different taste …. It saddens me how much this place has changed .. IF ITS NOT BROKEN DONT F I X I T!!!
