We went on a Saturday afternoon and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and we were able to get seated immediately.
We ordered a soft pretzel and Truffle fries for an appetizer. Both were delicious and got eaten so quickly. I was not able to get a picture. The diner burger with a side of mac & cheese was very good and served on a really fresh brioche bun with mac n cheese that was all but perfect. The shrimp entrée was OK. The presentation was nice a little too light on the cucumbers they just seem to be somewhat of an afterthought and the pepper seasoning was too strong. I like spicy but could taste nothing but the spicy peppers in my mouth it overpowered everything else.
They offer some awesome craft beers and great wines. I can’t wait to go back and try Some other dishes.

After trudging out to Ballantyne to see what was going on at the new IKEA Plan and Pick Up Point, we crossed the street for a relaxing adult beverage. We were warmly welcomed on this Sunday afternoon with multiple football games on their overhead televisions.

A beer for me and a mocktail for Mrs. K. which we enjoyed with their baked brie. This was a really nicely presented plate with a wheel of cheese that held up nicely alongside a sliced apple with candied pecans drizzled in honey. While the toast points with it were nice, they were a bit crumbly and a small loaf of French bread might have gone better.

Overall, we had a very pleasant time at Queen City and look forward to returning. As well, they're on the Delta Dining Rewards so I earned some bonus points!

What a bust. Food was awful. Really awful and ridiculously expensive. $17 for a burger and fries??? Atmosphere is boring and unattractive. The place needs a good cleaning and upgrade to the interior. I should have known due to the fact that it was practically empty at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon- when you wouldn't be able to get in most other restaurants. The ratings I'm seeing for this place lead me to believe that they are paying for reviews. Because from what I experienced, there is absolutely no way this place gets anything above 3.5 stars.

I will say the ‘salads’ were amazing. What I didn’t like was how they charged me $13 for a bloody that came out of a pre-mixed Charleston Bold n Spicy bottle and TO BOOT, charged me $2.00 for a shot to go in my DRINK!!!!!! $15 for a drink that came out of bottle you buy at Harris Teeter for $7. Talk about a markup! I mean, least you can do is learn how to make a bloody and realize the vodka is a part of the drink.

Update:
It had been a while since we'd been in, but have followed this restaurant since it opened. Things have changed, and not for the better.
The price for the food has continued to escalate. We got a bowl of beef stroganoff, which while tasty, was not a $27 value. No sides with this, not even bread, just a cereal bowl sized portion of stroganoff. The atmosphere has never been appealing, but it is now tired and in desperate need of upgrade, especially at these prices.
The server brought our check and cashed us out while I finished eating. Not okay.
We were most disappointed and likely will not return.

My sister and I ate here over the weekend and will absolutely be dining in again. We started the meal by splitting an appetizer of the deviled eggs and a drink each. I got the seasonal drink which was a dark rum base with a cinnamon rim. While a touch too much on the bitter side for my personal taste, it all went down with a lip smack of satisfaction. The eggs were soft and creamy and served over a plate of panko which I sprinkled on top for a bit of crunch. Verdict: Delicious.

Afterwards we received our entrees. I got a special not normally offered on their menu, the To'boy (a tofu variation of a Po'Boy) with a side salad and my sister got the burger with a side of fries. I don't eat tofu very often, but it was recommended by both their executive chef, Trevor (who's name is on the menu), and another staffer. Let me tell you, I wish I didn't finish it all because I wanted more later. The tofu was fried crispy, the amount of food in the roll (was is made in-house I'm told and it really shows) was plentiful and the sauce used on the sandwich was both tangy and left the right amount of spice. Typing this out just makes me wish I had more.

The meal ended with a dessert that my sister and I split (and by split I mean I ate 3/4 of it). We had the crème brulee and it was the excellent end to the night. I'm a fan of crème brulee and this one was definitely up there for me.

Staff was also attentive and nice. We had multiple staffers make sure we were taken care of. Overall I can't wait to come again and I really hope they add that To'Boy to the main menu so I can have it again.

We have been going there since its inception. When it comes to dining out, we always try to support non-corporate and family owned establishments. Queen City is a husband and wife affair. The food is gourmet and pleasing to the soul. Mrs is a bonafide chef. The wine and beer offerings steer towards the connoisseur side of things with exotic craft beers (I like ordering flights) and hand selected wines. It has been a frequent date destination for my wife and I, and now it's a favored destination of our three kids as well. Who can say to gourmet Mac and cheese, chicken and fries or grilled cheese. They also now delivery, and that is a recent choice for us as life has become so insane. Highly recommended.....

My husband and I wanted to try something different today, for lunch, so we stopped by for the first time. We walked in, and were just stared at. We were seated, and right away I was grossed out. The floor was dirty with crumbs all over it, the cushion happened to be moved away from the back of the bench, which had food and crumbs all along the crevice. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever. The table didn’t look clean, and the glass door was all smeared. Very unappetizing. We stood up and left.

Went on a late Saturday afternoon. It was not that busy. Asked them if they can make buffalo chicken sandwich that was not on the menu. They made it good.
