I recently visited Rí Rá Irish Pub with high hopes of enjoying some authentic Irish cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Let me break it down:Shepherd’s Pie: As a fan of traditional Irish dishes, I was excited to try their Shepherd’s Pie. However, what arrived was a far cry from the hearty, flavorful pie I had envisioned. The filling lacked proper seasoning, and the meat was tough and overcooked. The mashed potato topping was bland and lacked that comforting creaminess. Overall, it was a disappointing rendition of a classic dish.Staff Attitude: To make matters worse, some of the staff’s demeanor was less than welcoming. Some of them seemed disinterested and aloof. However, the female bartender was exceptional and attentive. As paying customers, we expected a friendlier and more attentive service. In summary, Rí Rá Irish Pub fell short of my expectations. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on improving both their dishes and customer service. As a lover of Irish cuisine, I left disappointed and won’t be returning anytime soon. ?

Had a reservation through open table and arrived five minutes early. There was no one at the hostess stand. Waited five minutes. No one ever came up to seat our group. Went to the bar and asked one of the two, not busy, bartenders if we could seat ourselves. She said no but she would go get the hostess. Went back to the front and waited 12 more minutes. No one ever seated us. So after 20 minutes of waiting and 15 minutes after our reservation time no one had said boo to us. Being a special occasion we didn't want to make our out of town friends want any longer. We went next door to Kitchen and Cocktails, were immediately greeted and seated and had a great meal. RiRa never again...

Went for St. Patrick’s Day to watch Irish Dancers. Great pub with a cozy atmosphere, awesome stage upstairs for bands or dancers and lovely outdoor garden area upstairs too.

I come to Charlotte several times a year and Ri Ra is always my first stop for dinner and a Guinness. Food and atmosphere always great. Tonight however was not so good. When I entered, there was no receptionist and NO sign saying ‘please wait to be seated’. So I sat near the bar at the same table I’ve sat at for years. I was completely ignored by the wait person. She walked by me several times never saying a word. I walked out after 30 minutes. Unbelievable. Maybe I was supposed to be seated, but there was no indication of that. Anyone could have simply talked to me. Worst customer service at a place I would normally rate highly. Simple communication is all it takes. Not sure if I’ll go back. I’m sure they don’t care.

First time visiting. Nice atmosphere and the server our team had was very nice, JaNathan. We had a fairly big group and then a couple of other large groups came in and this gentleman seemed to be the only person working. He was awesome; very courteous and appeared that he was able to remember little request from each group and get everyone what they needed. He needs a bonus and a raise. Thank you JaNathan.Food was ok, my burger was not completely done which I did not realize until I went to bite the second half. Other than that food was pretty good.

We absolutely loved our dining experience here! My dad loves Irish Pubs and my parents met at an Irish Pub so I came to visit them and wanted to treat them to dinner and found this place! I made a reservation and when we walked in, we were seated quickly! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive! He was really working hard as well. My dad got his favorite Guinness to drink and my mom and I got the cider sangria cocktail and it was amazing! We ordered the chicken bites with the Guinness barbecue sauce and they were tasty! For entrees we ordered the steakhouse paddy melt, pub reuben and a salad with falafel nuggies and they were all so delicious!!! The inside definitely has Irish pubs vibes and the bathrooms are clean! I cannot wait to bring my parents back here!

Like most of Charlotte…sadly it ain’t what it used to be. I took my wife here for our anniversary because we came here when we were dating and things started off great but then went down hill. The food was great but service seemed to become absent when business picked up. I wait a while for a beer refill but it never came. So we asked for the check and was given a standard receipt that had no tip or sign spot. No biggie because when we got there they took my card and opened a tab so they already had my info. The bar tender from New York who spoke with an Irish accent (…..hmmm) finally gave us the right ticket. I did say that things had gotten too busy because it came across that we had been forgotten and she started to back talk about that comment… sorry but “too busy” was the truth if your customers are waiting awhile. Anyways…. I just miss what Rira’s used to be along with most of Charlotte. It’s sad to see where it’s all going….
