I have ordered General Tso Chicken twice now from this restaurant and it has been overcooked both times. The flavor is good, but the meat is dry and difficult to chew. I had to throw most of it away. I would not recommend this dish.

Ordered Drunken noodles, Basil fried rice and Red curry. Handles down it's one of the best in Charlotte. They even helped me out by customizing the food to be Vegan. Would definitely visit it again.

Ray Lai is hands down the best Asian spot in Charlotte. Their food is unreal. everything’s fresh, flavorful, and cooked amazingly. I’ve been to a lot of places, but their sesame chicken and sushi stand out to me. The way they style the plate is exiting. Portions are more than enough, prices are fair, and the service? On point. They know how to take care of you. If you’re in the area and not hitting up Ray Lai, you are missing out.
We visited Rai lay blakeney today, and while the food was decent, the service was absolutely unacceptable. The server, who was the only one managing all the tables, was in a constant rush and didn’t listen to our requests. Despite explicitly asking for no mushrooms, every dish arrived with them. To top it off, the chocolate lava cake—a dessert that should be served warm—was cold.
But what really ruined the experience was the server’s attitude. Not only was she incredibly impatient, but she also made several insensitive comments like, “your people keep coming here, so we know what you mean by no meat and all.” Such remarks were unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome.
How can a restaurant expect good service when only one server is managing the entire place? Overall, while the food was good, the terrible service and lack of manners from the staff left a very bad taste. Definitely won’t be returning..

Enjoyed our recent dining experience. Despite being short staffed on Christmas Eve, and having a table of 9, our food came out of the kitchen in a respectable time frame and was prepared and presented beautifully. We sampled several appetizers and soups before having our main entrees. Our party included many different interests and dietary restrictions, but everyone found something they wanted to try. Our server was as also excellent. See you next time we roll through town.

I placed an order online and waited another 30 minutes for it when I arrived. I am not satisfied with the speed of the establishment, even though the boarding was only half full! There are establishments that provide good service, but this is clearly not your establishment. With this attitude, I will look forward to you learning to provide good service as quickly as possible, and not slowly like turtles.
