Still Traveling

One poor woman was handling the entire dining room. She did an excellent job, so she’s not to blame. They could have been short staffed. The sushi was delicious. The sesame entree was heavily coated in a thick syrup that drowned the main feature and had no semblance of “brown sauce” as identified in the menu, but instead a sweet and sour type sauce that just wasn’t appealing. The pad Thai was just so so with a very bland base, but worse was the burnt sesame oil flavor that permeated throughout the dish. We would likely return for the sushi alone.

We were there to have Birthday dinner for my husband. We sat outside and the ambience was very pleasant. The server was very busy and that’s when the young girl Selina ( greeter) got into action and took good care of us from start to finish. She was amazing and did everything with a smile. Food was awesome too. All in all , great experience!!

Called in an order for pick up from this place as my kids and I were craving some Pad See Ew. Got 2 shrimp Pad See Ew and 2 Tofu Pad See Ew, instead I got 1 shrimp and 1 chicken instead of the 2 shrimp I ordered (I normally check my order before leaving the parking lot but this time I didn’t as I had grocery in the trunk). We’re kind of disappointed as my mom and daughter wanted shrimp instead one had to eat chicken which was no big deal (it was $1 more for shrimp). Also, the noodles could have used more sauce as it was a bit on the dry side. I didn’t call back as the place is 30 mins away from us. The taste is not as flavorful as the one at their South Blvd location but as hungry as we were we just ate half of it and saved some for later (dinner size portion was decent). You can look at my review for their South Blvd location and compare the photos I took.Overall, I would recommend this restaurant as they have other good dishes.

We were there for dinner last night. The ambience is great, like the bright orange interiors. Service was spot on, just 1 person managing all the tables and she did a great job. We liked the crispy tofu it came with a sweet sauce, a spicy sauce would be great with it. Springroll was a disapointment it was just 1 medium sized spring roll. We had 2 curry bowls. The curry bowls are huge ! like 1 bowl will be good for 2 people with good appetite! I had The Green Curry bowl with veggies and tofu (no meat) tasted great it had the right level of spice to balance the heavy coconut base, my daughter and husband shared a Koa Soy curry bowl with veggies and chicken. My daughter loved it because it had chicken and it tasted sweet, my husband not so much he thought it needed some spice. They do not have a kids menu, it would be a great addition if they did.Vegetarian options: Crispy fried tofu, green curry bowl, veggie spring roll

Giving this place the credit it deserves! Just tried it for the for time tonight (take-out). I got the Volcano roll and the Heat the Night roll. Holy amazing. I have been so incredibly let down the last few years by sushi places around Ballantyne/Fort Mill. They aren’t consistent and it’s just not good. This is the best sushi I’ve had in years. Heat the Night was my favorite but both were great. It’s got a very unique flame torched taste on the salmon. So so so SO GOOD. This is my new takeout spot!

Food not bad but has no spice to it when I asked for spicy level 4 out of 5. Like literally no spice, it was sweet lol. Also super expensive for small portions and too many up charges. For the same price I'll go to open rice down the street.

Dinner took 2.5 hours. At one point we thought the waitress quit. They forgot to make one of our meals. Won’t be around for long.

This was a great discovery! The food was amazing! The service was outstanding! The whole experience was perfect! We started with black spider sushi, then had pad Thai, red curry, and shaking beef! All were wonderful! Some of the best Asian we've ever had! Can't wait to go back for more!
