This place has the worst food ever. I came for dinner and ordered tibs and shiro. The shiro was okay, but the tibs weren’t cooked enough or the meat was old but, I got sick the next day. Honestly, it was the worst experience ever. I don’t recommend this place.

I've been going to Red Sea for years on and off, I would recommend it, it's fantastic but the service is subpar and confusing... Every time I go there, they're confused about my pickup order.... this is going to sound weird but sometimes, some of their food is bland like the lamb chops had zero seasoning very surprising... And there is zero presentation to their food but it does taste good I would probably rate it like a 5.94 out of 10...🤷🏽‍♀️. It could be better... it's just okay.

Great food. Pricey, so i got an appetizer. Delicious. If you've never had Ethiopian food it may be odd to you just without silverware etc. Just a heads up. Great service and great food. They have pool tables in the back room too, that's kinda fun.

This is hands down the best Ethiopian food in Charlotte. We live in South Carolina and will drive up to eat here. The staff are also super friendly. The only negative comment that I can give it that it takes forever to get your food. You can expect to wait an hour from ordering and that's on a slow day. We know this and plan for it everything we go. As long as you don't expect a quick meal, the food is worth the wait. The artwork on the walls and tables sets a good ambiance.

Vegetarian options: They are good about modifying the plates and combos to your specifications

Parking: Not much parking up front but there is a large parking lot behind the building

I had lot of Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurant I never had like this restaurant discussing

Came here for the first time today, it’s sensational! My friend and I split the veggie platter and the lentil sambusa because I am vegetarian, and it was so delicious and so much food that we took a to go box as well. Mella, the girl who served us, was so kind and attentive! It’s a beautiful restaurant as well with lots of art and very clean. You should go here for sure!

It was my first time eating in this establishment. As an African American ( Black American), it is very interesting that the " core food stuff" that I/ We eat is indeed a world phenomenon.... Example ( Chicken and rice/ bread!!!).

I’ve never eaten Ethiopian food. I ordered the Ye Beg Tebs ($13.99). I was somewhat disappointed because I expected more of a WOW that food is delicious feeling. Instead it was just ok. The building is a little run down looking. Urinal in men’s bathroom was covered with a trash bag saying out of order. 91.5 sanitation grade. I was there at noon on a Friday and was the only customer there. I’m glad I went there but wasn’t impressed enough to return.

2 weeks ago I had the Lamb tibs so tender and plenty of meat and juice! Authentic taste, fresh injera! The side veggies cabbage and carrots perfect. No one to welcome you when you walk in so if you don’t speak the language they kinda look at you strange and don’t greet you with even a hello! The atmosphere could use some music. Only the bar tv on to entertain footballers. The seating was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place
