Small, hard to get reservations... But so worth it. Impeccable service, and fresh options for meals since all ingredients are seasonal. Make your reservation now!

This place is amazing, great option for a date with a foodie! The staff is attentive, food is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed yet refined. It’s a small place so it’s not so loud that you can’t have a conversation at your table. There was no rush to finish and I cannot wait to go back again! I truly appreciate it that one of the first questions we were asked was whether or not there were any food allergies that the chef needed to be made aware of. Chef Sam actually came table side to deliver some of the food and chat with us. Briefly, I look forward to having a deeper conversation with him and his staff about what they do there. Such a great experience.Dietary restrictions: The staff asked whether or not there were dietary restrictions or allergies as soon as we were seated and reviewing the menu.Parking: Sufficient parking in front of the building.

Best restaurant in Charlotte. I've been telling people for the past 6 months that there isn't another restaurant in Charlotte like Constance. Starting with a well-crafted yet reasonable wine menu, everything in the restaurant is clearly curated with the idea of creating a fantastic experience. I have had amazing service when I have dined here, and please take your server's advice. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations will not let you down. There are very few places where I'd make a point to mention a salad course, but do not skip this portion of the menu. You will not be disappointed! RC + Sam Diminich should be on a short list for a James Beard.

We were excited to have our first dining experience at Restaurant Constance last night. Great menu, beautiful dining area and impeccable service. We ordered some items based on recommendations of other customers and some based on reviews and wait staff recommendations. The kale salad was highly recommended by everyone. I am sure that is because there is something for everyone unit. Chock full of tasty ingredients in spite of the kale which does add a great texture. It was good, but really a bit sweet for my taste. I think if the pecans were spicy instead of sweet, it would have been better, but some of the sweetness came from the dressing. It was good, but a bit sweet. The pork belly dumplings were excellent. The sauce could have been a little spicier, but they were still great. I enjoyed the scallop entree with grits and tomato dashi. Amazing sauce and grits. I like my scallops a little more firm in the cooking, but this is how chefs always serve them. My husbands flounder dish was our only disappointment. Flounder is so delicate that it was nothing but a soft texture on a complicated rice dish. Dessert was outstanding. It was the first time we have seen pavlova in Charlotte and it is my favorite dessert. It was filled with a hazelnut cream and outstanding. The server was really great and we had a wonderful evening!

I was simply blown away by the flavors and the obvious love and respect for the ingredients. Chef Sam and his amazing team make magic happen on these plates. It’s is 1000% worth the splurge, if it’s in the budget, treat yourself! Whether you’re vegetarian, a seafood fan, or meat lover, you will find something unforgettable. The NA bar menu is so tasty and well put together, you need to try it even if you do drink!

We had a fantastic dining experience here. The food and service were top notch.Below is what we ordered:Pork belly dumplingsShort rib arepaKorean fried chicken lettuce wrapsKale saladBraised short rib and gritsSeared scallops and gritsChocolate miso tartEverything was delicious. I liked how each dish came out as soon as it was ready. Our party of 3 shared all the appetizers and entrees. Our server says the menu changes frequently so we look forward to returning. Please note the restaurant policies for reservations: They take a $25 deposit per person when you make them and will deduct it from your dinner bill. If you cancel under 24 hours, they keep the deposit. There’s also a time limit per party. A party of 3 is 90 minutes which we felt was plenty of time. There’s a free parking lot.

Visiting Charlotte from New Hampshire, but had scouted out this place before we came. Interestingly enough, it appeared on the list of recommended places from our Airbnb hosts as well. We are very into the farm to table movement, big time Farmers market shoppers ourselves as well. The staff was very friendly, and more importantly, knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was excellent. They were very helpful in accommodating a honey allergy, even whipping up an alternative dressing for the salad we ordered. For the record, the kale salad we had was beyond exceptional. I am not exaggerating when I say that is was the best salad I have eaten in my 65 years! Recommended unconditionally. A must-stop for our next trip to Charlotte.

Probably one of my favorite Charlotte restaurant experiences. The restaurant is small, less than 20 tables. Reservations are definitely recommended. No alcohol-based cocktail menu, but alcohol-free mixed drinks, wine and beer are available. The staff is well trained on the food. Everyone had an opinion on their favorite dishes. Everything we ate had amazing flavor. Some of my favorites were the dumplings, hamachi, kale salad, short ribs, chocolate miso tart and the sticky toffee pudding. Truthfully, the kale salad shined the brightest because I typically am not a huge fan of salads and there were so many surprise ingredients in it. Note, this is not a restaurant you can sit for hours. They do have time limits. Regardless, it was great experience. I will definitely be back.

what a phenomenal dining experience! Visited this restaurant for a girls night and we were extremely impressed! The restaurant is small but it felt cozy and intimate. The staff were very very helpful with describing the dishes & helping us find the perfect dish for us. They were all very kind and personable. The food was phenomenal, I recommend the marinated scallops. Hands down the best scallops i’ve had! The potato purée (not pictured) was also delicious!

Restaurant Constance is incredible. Kyle, our server was phenomenal. He had a great understanding of the menu and was attentive in the way that is very rare to find. He made sure to provide fresh naan for us to dip in the sashimi sauce without us even asking. Everything was freshly prepared, timely, and seriously worth trying. Not to mention, the atmosphere was intimate and beautiful. It was as close to eating at the tv shows "the bear" (season 2 finale) as you could ever hope to come in real life. The only difference is the staff at Constance was even better than the show could have ever scripted.
