First time getting a acai bowl here and was very disappointed. I got the Rainbow small bowl and I literally paid $16 for a bunch of cut up fruit. Hardly any acai or granola. Won’t be going back.
A literal scam. You know the frozen Sambazon açaí bowls at the grocery store? I thought this was gonna be something they’re actually making. No, they blend a small packet of that for ten seconds and but it in the bowl. I got the mini because it was my first time there but DAMN where is the base??? There’s literally nothing in there, thank God I didn’t choose anymore toppings. The toppings were great, it’s the only thing I ate. Also that packet thing (“açaí base”) tastes terrible. The frozen açai bowl at the grocery store tastes way better and is four dollars. Matter of fact, the açai bowls from smoothie King are way better. Looks cute but I’m just disappointed with the whole thing.
Such a great açai place it is so great every time it’s like it melts in my mouth and it’s such a great experience.
Very nice and clean. Fruit bowl was amazing
I don’t really like to complain about places but as an açaí lover, it really is not the best place. I got a mini bowl today and although it’s $10 it was not filled up at all and had the smallest layer of açaí. The toppings were ok but the granola felt old. The staff also didn’t seem like they knew a lot about their own products. It could be so much better if the portions were more worth it and the açaí was less icey and and smooth.
It’s a miracle this place is still in business with the prices of everything. 2 of our typical smoothies here cost $50 and the same at smoothie king are $17… make your choice. It’s a shame because the location is awesome. One time one of the girls exclaimed “man this fruit looks rotten” and proceeded to put it in the bowl… we asked to remove it and she said, “well i already put it in the bowl”. Classy.
This is my go-to spot for açaí bowls! The fruit is always fresh, and I love that they offer a mini bowl option — it’s the perfect portion for me. I noticed some negative reviews, but based on my personal experience (I’ve been here more than three times), the food has always been fresh and delicious.
I have always been an avid lover of açaí bowls and I am so happy I found out about this place from my friend. My bowl was so delicious it was everything you’d want in an açaí bowl and also the service from the employee was so good (I think her name was kerin) she was so nice and helped me navigate the variety of bowls . 10/10 service as well. Would definitely recommend!!!!
I first had Rico’s when I lived in FL and found their food truck, I really loved it and was so excited to try it again when I moved to Charlotte. This experience was wholly disappointing for a multitude of reasons. They were severely understaffed during peak hours— there was only one employee who was extremely stressed due to the amount of people in line and online orders coming in (understandably so). I had to wait over 20 mins to get a bowl with no customizations. Secondly- the bowl itself was so basic and underfilled for $17. the açaí came from the samabazon packet which you can get from the grocery store. I had barely any açaí and gobs and gobs of peanut butter, it was an unappetizing bowl honestly. I can make this same bowl at home for a fraction of the price and with much more açaí and fresher ingredients overall. Sad that the quality has declined.
To be honest, I was a little thrown off by all the negative reviews about this place. But when I went, the workers were friendly, and the service was quick as well. To top it off, this may have been the best acai bowl I have ever tasted! The acai was not gritty at all, unlike what some of the reviews have claimed. The fruits were all fresh and sweet too. I’m glad I gave this place a try. Can’t wait to go again!!

Went to Rico’s and paid over $18 dollars for a rainbow bowl that was terribly put together along with bad rotten fruit inside and after asking/ paying for extra Nutella (because I know they like to be stingy) I still get a dime size amount right on top. I stopped coming here for a while simply because of the customer service being terrible but that seems to not be the only thing going bad here.

Bowl was good, but not enough Acia, for $17 for a small, just would like more.

Açaí base was crumbles ice crystals, out of blueberries, small drizzle of almond butter on bowl. Waste of money and not tasty

Everything tasted great, both ladies working at 6:30pm on Sunday , September 1st, 2024, had absolutely no will to work or serve despite there being no one else in the building bedsides me. Made me feel very unwelcome and I was honestly uncomfortable waiting for my order to be ready, good fruit. Terrible service.
