Average food at best. Seems to be not nearly as good as once was. Roasted beets tasted like open a can and heat. Nothing on them. Lame attempt at corn succotash. Mostly canned corn. Not fresh. Salad swimming in dressing. Overhead a loud kitchen “fight”
Dinner with out-of-town friend prior to Broadway Series performance. Seated immediately. Wait staff and management very attentive. Answered all questions and offered suggestions of entrees and wine. Very enjoyable evening
Great service and the food was fantastic. Very convenient to Blumethal theatre if you are catching a show. Can be a little noisy depending on where you are seated.
Great place for lunch and dinner. Consistent experience every time. Seasonal menu keeps me repeating
The food was excellent, especially the delicious brussel sprouts. However, the service was slow, and our waiter apologized but there was no excuse because there were plenty of staff and quite a few empty tables.
I don’t know what was better the food or the staff. Carla our waitress was fabulous and the manager Ashley stopped by our table to make sure everything was fine. I would highly recommend Roosters on College Street in Charlotte.
My experience here was absolutely amazing the staff were so friendly. I had 3 members of the roosters team come by and assure we were enjoying our meal and even made special accommodations for my picky eater. This is our new go to spot
Yesterday I organized a dinner for my family, food was very delicious and tasty. My all family told me that their staff was very professional and kind. Highly Recomended💯
Loved everything about this place. Ordered the duck dish and gnocchi. Absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic.
Excellent flavors. Each dish was prepared perfect, pan seared flounder was the best we’ve had. Smoked chicken and sides were excellent. Great service and homemade gelato for dessert.

My new favorite restaurant
I've been to another location and had a great experience, so I had high hopes--but this one completely missed the mark. They were out of heirloom tomatoes, and instead of fresh avocado, they used guac??? The sandwich I ordered was not fresh, and the rotisserie chicken was skimp and very dry--the meal tasted off and even had a hair in the fries, which were limp and borderline cold. My fiancé's burger was overcooked, dry, and bland.
To their credit, the manager removed my sandwich from the bill and gave us a free dessert, but even that was underwhelming. I appreciate the gesture, but overall the food quality just wasn't there. Won't be returning to this location.
While they were out of my wife's first choice of entree, the entrees were all excellent! The pan fried corn side was bland but the Mac and Cheese and Brussel Sprouts were delicious. Service was slow but very friendly AND the restaurant was crowded. I found the noise level high for conversation but the kitchen is open to the dining room. More of a personal preference on ambient noise. Overall, an enjoyable but not exceptional experience.
Always a pleasure to dine at Rooster's. Great location for the theater, service is wonderful and the food never disappoints. The sides are not to be missed and can be shared.
Food was awesome as always. Hard to decide what to order but we got fried oysters, lamb and chicken and shared sides of corn, collards, onion rings and scalloped potatoes. Our server realized food was slow coming and asked the manager to intervene. They really went above and beyond to get our food to us in time for us to get to our show. And gave us dessert as well. We couldn't be more appreciate of what they did for us and how they got treated us. It's one of your favorite places and our uptown go-to. That will never change. Awesome food and service and our loyalty goes to Roosters.
