Excellent food and service!! I was in Charlotte for the weekend and we actually ate here twice--once for dinner and once for brunch. The food was amazing both visits. I think I prefer the dinner menu over the brunch menu. For dinner, I had the seared mahi mahi with rice grits and asparagus topped with avocado salmon mousse. WOW!! Those flavors were paired great and the whole dish was amazing. I ate my entire plate with no regrets. My friend had the gnocchi and she said it was the best she's ever had. She cleaned her plate as well. And the sweet potatoes were seasoned with maple syrup and topped with biscuit pieces--I need to figure out how to make this at home! It was a great sweet and salty balance and the sweet potatoes had a perfect crisp. We had drinks with our meal as well and they were perfect, not overly sweet. Brunch is offered on the weekends and it's the same great food and service. Parking is easy--they validate when you park in the deck. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area!

I had tickets to a show at the Booth Playhouse, so I wanted to eat somewhere close and convenient. Rooster's Wood is in the same building, so I decided to give this place a shot and I'm SO glad I did. I was eating during odd hours (before 4pm) and was seated immediately, but you can make reservations online. This place seemed very upscale so it would make a cute date night. They also validate parking in the Bank of America garage if you eat there. Now to the food...simply amazing! I got a kale Caesar salad and the tomato, fiore di latte mozzarella, basil oil (cheese pizza). I have never tasted better cheese before on either dish. It tasted so fresh. My dish also came with free bread and olive oil to dip it in. Service was great! I'd go here again and cannot recommend it enough to others.

I love the Roosters in Winston so when I saw it here in Charlotte I had to go. I got the short rib, pickled red onion pizza! One word - AMAZING. I sure hope Winston serves this.

We recently hosted a business dinner at Rooster's. The food was amazing! Everything was delicious especially the fried oysters and tomatoe bisque. We had some guests with dietary restrictions and the staff was extremely attentive and helpful. We were in a semi- private room which gave us privacy. I highly recommend Rooster's.

It was not great. We started with the fried chicken skins which should have been crispy and delicious but instead were chewy and greasy with a generic buffalo sauce drizzled across them. They were so bad that someone behind the bar commented that that’s not the way their chicken skins normally look, but did not offer to take them back. Dinner was just OK. I had the pork loin my dinner companion had the wood fired chicken. Dessert was average. If you go in with just average expectations, you will probably be OK. Anything more than that you will be disappointed.

Great location, cool interior. The only bright spot was our server, who was attentive and fantastic. My companions all reported that their dishes were very salty. I had a burger and asked for it cooked medium. It was very dry, closer to well done. The beef was almost tasteless, which I wasn't sure was a product of being overcooked or their supplier / lack of seasoning. Not sure I'd go back.
I have travelled to Charlotte twice in the last 2 years for work, and I always make a point to stop here to eat. Everything I've had has been amazing, drinks and food included. Potatoes au gratin are phenomenal, short ribs are delicious. It's dark inside, but otherwise fun with lots of seating and 2 floors. Would 10/10 recommend!

Service was outstanding. Drove from Columbia and it was worth it. Wandered into this adorable little "hole in the wall" during our first night at the Marriott downtown while in town for a convention. I was starving, and the concierge desk said it was a good place to try and a short walk from the hotel. Upon entering, it is small and very cozy, but also very welcoming. A nice fireplace and stuffed boar head make you feel right at home lol. Even on a Wednesday night, it was packed and I snagged the last spot at the bar. I had a couple of the best old-fashioned cocktails I've ever had, and a terrific pasta dish off the appetizer menu. The rest of the menu looked pretty yummy and I had hoped to have more time to come back with the hubs to try a full entrée but unfortunately ran out of time. The bar is small, but there is more restaurant seating upstairs and based on how busy it was, it must have pretty good food. Anyway, I really enjoyed the ambience and the vibe of this bar / restaurant. I would definitely go back!
