We worked with Roots for both our wedding food and our welcome party food and we could not be happier with the service we received and the food we ate. Alyssa was completely professional, and very attentive. Our guests raved about our food and we will be using Roots for any other parties we throw. Absolute 5 star experience. I had a great experience hosting a private birthday dinner at Roots Cafe using their catering. From the beginning, they were easy to work with and prompt in communication. They helped me talk through different options for my plated dinner and made some great suggestions. I spoke with a couple different people leading up to the event and each person was up-to-speed and informed on even the smallest details of my event. The night of the dinner, Roots had everything prepared on time and I received so many compliments on the food and drinks served. I would definitely recommend using Roots Cafe for your private event, they have a great team and helped create a magical evening for my celebration!

Roots Catering was INCREDIBLE from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, our guests are still raving about it. The communication was spot on throughout the process, and Alyssa was SO helpful and kind! The onsite team was fun, personable, and jumped in wherever needed, which made everything feel seamless. They even boxed up the leftovers for us to take home at the end of the night, which we really appreciated. We’re so thankful to have had them as part of our special day!

We hired ROOTS Catering for our daughter's wedding. If I could give 10 stars I would. They were absolutely incredible!! Alyssa, the catering manager was the BEST!! She was kind, patient, helpful, thorough, professional and we could not have done this without her!! The wait staff and bartenders were also incredibly kind, professional, and very hard working. They all wore smiles the entire event. Finally, the food, oh the food!! Absolutely delicious and wonderful!! Everyone loved it!! They offer so many GF/DF options, which was very helpful to us! I would not think twice about hiring ROOTS for any event!! Highly recommend. They take all the stress out of planning a big event!!

Roots catering was amazing for our wedding! Everyone was so kind, the process of tasting was so fun, and the staff was extremely diligent and professional. We got so many compliments on the food and our bartenders! They killed it! I couldn’t recommend Roots more!!

If you are thinking of using any other service to cater your event in the Charlotte Area, don't. Becky from was Roots was unbelievably helpful. The game day team was responsive, fast, and professional. I couldn't be more impressed. I would give six stars if I could.

96 hrs and 3 business days since I asked for a quote No response . Poor customer service.

I couldn’t be more dissatisfied and sad about my Root’s Catering experience. I won’t mention the first impression hiccups because I truly felt like the service manager made up for it.

But the food was absolutely terrible. I paid nearly 700$ for a jamón station that was serving my guest thick slices of ham that my guest couldn’t event eat. I literally cried about how terrible this jamón service was because it was my absolute dream to have it at my wedding. And I was assured over and over they had done this before. Impossible, serving thick slices of jamón is disgrace.

Moreover, they pushed me to hire an absurd amount of servers and they did so with zero consideration for the small space. I had a server for every five guest. I couldn’t dance without stumbling into one. The waiters would deliver food without telling guest what it was.. I had someone with an allergy eat something and get sick because of this lack of oversight and carelessness.

Im grateful that I tried some of the food because at least it had some edible things after my revisions. But the disappointment was through all the courses …Croquettes , which they were confident they could do.. were soggy and unrecognizable. The rice that was bland and cold. Even unapproved menu items like a random salad and pasta salad showed up without approval.

I wish I would’ve taken note of the red flags and realized that they were never going to be able to deliver a custom experience. If you are picking from their standard menu, you’re probably safe. But don’t trust them telling you they can customize or even deliver on an experiences. Don’t waste your money and and don’t risk ruining you most special day.

I lead large corporate events and had them deliver countless lunches but when the stakes are high you definitely can’t count on Roots Catering.

Roots catered our wedding this month and did an amazing job! I highly recommend anyone who has catering needs works with them. Olivia was such an amazing communicator and helped us get what we wanted and needed for our guests. The food was out of this world, and all guests were raving about it. I highly recommend them!!!
