I came along with a group of peers to this restaurant in hopes of sharing a cultural experience. Despite 6+ weeks of contact with staff claiming to be management, the restaurant staff were woefully prepared. The day of our visit, we sent in the groups orders TWO HOURS in advance so everything could be prepared by the time of our arrival since we had an activity planned shortly after. After 5ish minutes of restaurant staff arranging tables for our group, they began asking clarifying questions about the orders. At this point, it was clear that the restaurant had not begun preparing food for the group. The worst part about this, the group I had could not eat before getting on the bus, where no eating is allowed before our next activity.

I am on a school trip with 20 other people which i understand is a large group. Therefore, we called ahead and gave our orders along with a TIME LINE of when we HAD TO BE OIT OF THE DOOR. We were supposed to catch a play at 7:30. We areived at 6 o'clock expecting to atleast have oir food and be able to box it up by 7pm. 6:45 rolls around and there is still no food. I siggest we get everything in to-go boxes to save time & not dirty up extra dishes. Ok, great. 7 o'clock rolls around STILL NO FOOD. I suggest we all start to pay so we can leave as soon as the food is out......here it is FORTY FIVE minutes later at 7:45 before ALL the food was ready. I cannot comment on the food currently since I won't get a chance to eat it for 3 more hours. The play that we are supposed to see had already started and we haven't even arrived yet. IT IS NOW 8:00 AND WE ARE 30 MINUTES LATE. we cannot eat on the bus. We have not eaten since 1pm for lunch...and we don't get out of the play until 9:30 do that means we don't get to the hotel until 10pm...... I do not know were the miscommunication came from.. ... to top it off, we were all STILL CHARGED A GRATUITY, even though they did not deliver on their end. We kept getting empty promises.....I am really disappointed with the lack of customer service and do believe that the food would have been good if eaten fresh. I do think this could have been a better experience if the staff had worked TOGETHER to achieve the end results.

DO NOT order online. They claim their system is down yet on my end, it says the order is confirmed and the charge is pending in bank account. 45 minutes later and no food. Even if their system was down, why would they argue with a 15 year old over an online order that supposedly never went through. The correct way would be to apologize, take the order and make it. Horrible customer service

My first visit the food was really good my second visit I was eating and noticed a white string on the backbone of my fish it was a worm. I called the store and was told to return the food for a refund I wanted an apologize I threwup all of that food I already eaten. I will never come back here this was gross. I can't even attach the pic disgusting.

Ordered fish for takeout im utterly disgusted. This was on the spine of the fish. I called not for refund to letvthe know and the guy got defensive. I threw up every thing i could in that tray he wanted me to bring it back for a refund. Never even apologized. I will never step foot in this place again. This shows they never cleaned this fish or they would have saw it was infected.

Love the pepper soup. And most of the soups that I have. Some of the food is pretty good as well. I think they are the best overall food delivery place in Charlotte as of January 2024.
African food has been my favorite for years when I had a friend make it for me homemade. Since I moved south I've been looking for an African restaurant to get some EGUSI SOUP. I stumbled on this place while getting my hair done. I've ordered from here several times and I enjoyed the food. Since I usually prefer my food spicy and it wasn't I still never asked for it to be more spicy and I was fine with it. However I decided to ask for it to be just a little bit more spicy than the regular way and I'm so glad I did. ? Sometimes you just have to ask for a little change. I just want to thank you guys again for my little request. ♥️
This restaurant is very inviting and the gentleman that was upfront was super nice and welcoming. The food was amazing. We love African food and this definitely one of the best one in Charlotte.
