Beautiful restaurant designed like a Mexican villa. Went for lunch and the food was served unbelievably fast. The three amigos appetizer which has fresh tortilla chips, guacamole, salsa, and queso was good. The guac could use some salt, and the queso is very thin, but like any other cheese thickened as it cooled. The Tacos and quesadilla were good as well. I had the "Gaylord Focker" which taste like the chef went foraging for the ingredients then put them right on the tortilla. The "Lookin good Louis" taco was good as well. My Wife had the "You're my boy blue" quesadilla and she liked it as well. Her only complaint was she thought it was a little dry and lacked the banana peppers it said was in it.

Lovely patio with market lights at Ruru’s. My husband loved his burrito and we shared queso and tacos. Really enjoyed the fried chicken taco, and Chantal was really nice and accommodating, especially of my husbands allergy and my need for mocktails while I am pregnant. We’ll be back!

Parking was around the back and there is a lot! But get there early or be prepared to wait for both parking and food.

Worst experience ever!! The waiter was very rude and unprofessional. Queso dip was very soupy like and my entree came out cold! They also don’t have straws which I feel is very inconsiderate. The manager didn’t have great customer service when he had to be called to the table. I will never eat here again or recommend that anyone else does!!!!

Average food. Steak fajitas were a disappointment - flavorless beef on veggies that looked like they were steamed, not grilled. Whoever came up with the idea of "cutsie" names for each dish did the restaurant no favors. We ordered online for pick up & this made ordering take longer. I mean, if I want some guacamole & steak fajitas, I'd like to scan the menu & see these items listed like that. I don't need to figure out what's in "I love the smell of napalm" . Nice patio, though
The food was as great as the service! My wife got the frozen margarita and it was very good and creative. Not your typical margarita and they bring it out blended in a mason jar. We both got burritos and it was big enough to finish, but not so big that we felt stuffed afterwards. I saved room for desert and had their tres leche. It was delicious and very balanced. It wasn’t too soaked in milk, but sweet enough to keep a nice flavor to it. The caramel drizzle on it was what gave it a slight extra sweetness and wasn’t too overpowering at all. It was a great balance and not just your basic average tres leche.Overall a really nice Mexican spot that’s in the cut. Be careful with google navigation. It may take you to the location of the restaurant, but not their parking lot. It’s weird. We ended up making the wrong turn from google maps, but it ended up being the right way to get to the parking lot. Their parking lot has a sign pointing towards their parking so you can find it. Their parking lot is pretty spacious and accommodating. Please don’t let it discourage you from going. I have been to RuRus a few times but I usually pick up to go. I love the food; however the one time I decided to dine in the service I received was absolutely terrible. I decided to dine is last night for my birthday. It was taco Tuesday and being that I always order the same thing I already knew what I wanted. When the girl came back with my drinks ( Arnold palmer and a lemonade) she asked us if we were ready to order and I replied “do you have any drink specials?” She replied “no we don’t have any specials on drinks” so I said “I want to do the taco Tuesday deal”. She asked me “what is on the taco Tuesday deal?” And I responded “no that’s what I’ll be having” she then told me to hold on and went to a table in the opposite corner and grabbed their empty plates and never came back. After sitting for about ten minutes I decided to set a five minute timer on my phone. We left. That was some of the worst service I have ever received, and on the night of my birthday at that. There was another server in our area too. One girl was white, and our server was a black girl with long hair. No one checked on us and we literally sat and watched around us receive and order food. I’ll never dine in again. What’s even sadder is I go outside and what do I see a whole list of daily drink specials. Smh.

We had a great time hanging out with Gram in Myers Park at this delightful taco restaurant! The menu was full of all kinds of taco concoctions while the drink menu never left anyone wanting. Highly recommended if you love tacos and cocktails!
