Shane's Rib Shack

This is not my first visit to a Shane’s but this is definitely the worst. Ordered for dine in (boneless wings and fries). Large party of 6 orders burgers and fries and all got their food before I did. Another group came in while I was waiting and got their food too. Waited 25 minutes and still no food. Horrible service, tables/windows unclean, and music playing with inappropriate language through the TV. Disappointing.

Service was slow when I got there they said they didn't see my order and I told them I ordered it on the app gave them the order number then it was able to find it fries were not cooked all the way very soggy on the inside.

Ehhh, it'll feed you. Portions are nice and big but it's just not very good BBQ. The sauce also comes in little cups and not very good either. NC prides itself on its BBQ but more importantly, it’s sauce. I will say that I liked the green beans but everything else is mediocre.

I would recommend it more if they would deliver to Lake Wylie, SC as do their neighbor restaurants in the Steele Creek area. Our physical address is Lake Wylie but our mailing address is Clover (9 miles further west) so you say you can't deliver to us. Sad! I previously picked up a wonderful meal in Gastonia (who also doesn't deliver here although their other neighboring restaurants do)! It's frustrating to be associated with a city further away from our physical location.

My wife and I were so impressed with our visit! Walking in to the restaurant the hospitality and cleanliness was incredible! Food was outstanding as well!!! Most definitely returning for another meal.

The ribs here are the real deal. Tender, flavorful, and just messy enough to make you feel like you’re doing BBQ right. Sauce options are fantastic and dangerously addictive. Staff handled our large takeout order like pros. Parking was decent, which is saying something these days. The only weird part is it always feels like a meat locker inside. Bring a jacket or eat fast. Still, totally worth it for the food.

I went for Ribs, I asked the staff…. Did their ribs fall off the bone. Not a straightforward answer was given to me but, manager sounded somewhat convincing. He said, he likes the ribs and eats them pretty often so to speak. And big the ribs up like give them a try…. Welllll😬🙄😬

Brought ribs home …….. let’s just say I finished cooking them and now they fall off the bone!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I see why they were under the paper in the to go tray👌
But I’ll go again bec the peach cobbler and Peach tea are sooooooooooo good!!!!!

Place is super slow after placing a to go order. Took an extra 30 minutes after the intial ready time, to get my food.

My Mother And I Stopped Here At Shane's, My 1'st Time Eating Here And The Food(Pulled BBQ Pork)Was Great... The Atmosphere Was A Good Vibe As Well.

Since my initial discovery of Shane Rib Shack in Akien, SC, it has held special significance for me and was thrilled to learn about the location in Charlotte, NC. I'll tell it now: chef kisses for the pull pork load potato in Akien!

The ribs more than make up for the Charlotte location's lack of this dish, as they fall off the bone each time we receive them. I used to have the macaroni and cheese, but now I usually get the cobbler, okra, or potato salad. I will most certainly think about visiting Shane's Rib Shack if I am ever in the area--if just for the ribs, of course.

Everything I've tried has been absolutely AMAZING! Under new management and it's obvious! Everything was seasoned well and flavorful! The new GM Jashin was delightful and attentive. He made sure we had a great dining experience!

Stop by to utilize a gift card to purchase dinner for my family. Their machine was upgraded and no one had been trained to use it. So all I got is a I don't know how and not sure when they will be able to accept gift cards.
